DemoniCore

Welcome everyone to the new play to earn game that @demonicore released in July and which like some other people, I found out about when I saw 1 DCORE token on Hive Engine and I may have gone overboard a bit with buying since then.. over 50,000 DCORE (I lost count and my eyes hurt at all the transactions) so just a little bit oops!

Come check out the demons that await you over at DemoniCore where you will find the homepage for the site, where you can login, a story about the game and the important part to help you out, the How to Play section which is going to talk about a variety of things.

You will learn about earning DCORE and how you you require staking DCORE to start earning, kind of like with other games requiring paying a certain amount to be able to start. There is the battling and stats section as well and the stats will let you know what they do, for you to know what you may decide to upgrade. More on this below.

Rewards/Stats/Battling

Rewards

Let's have a look at earning rewards first and you will have to start by staking 108 DCORE (roughly 3 and a half Hive if buying a sell order) in order to become an apprentice of the first level, which will enable you to now battle and earn DCORE by defeating demons, where before you could battle but would not earn.

I wanted to show off a bit of the early game more so with staking to start earning, or how much increasing a stat to level 2 will be, so since using additional accounts is allowed I have started using the @orionspeakgaming account to keep playing it and for longer term.

As you can see, 0/108 DCORE shows under the pink 0th Circle Initiate writing and that arrow allows you to stake the required amount from the website, then to have a brief wait and either refresh the page or click to another page and then back on the battle page to see your rank change. I will show you a fight at the low level below in the battling section including the DCORE earned from that fight, along with higher level fights from my main account to show what I am roughly getting per battle now.

Stats

Next we have the stats and I am going to show my main account and the current stats I am sitting at. With 2700 DCORE staked I am a 5th level Circle Conjurer which brings out some tougher demons that is for sure, but I only lose a battle now and then if I get some bad luck!

I have level 14 attack to hit hard and to increase my energy recharge rate so I can battle more often, I found this to be important for earning more once I had leveled some stats a few levels so I had less chance of losing. Defence is level 7 so I don't get hurt as badly but also increases maximum energy I can have.

I was on magic early on due to it being easier to win with I found.. but don't use it anymore but it will increase how much you deal with magic attacks and lessen how much magic does to you, speed is at level 8 which is needed to increase the chances an attack hits while decreasing chances of being hit and better chance of acting first on a turn. Lastly is faith, if you want to attempt guessing a demon name to lower the stats then this can help with that along with decreasing magic damage taken and importantly, increasing DCORE rewards for slaying demons!

Now to show you the amount of DCORE you require to increase a skill from level 1 to 2, as you will want to increase some early on for better chances of slaying demons and earning.

232 DCORE (roughly 7.4 hive if buying a sell order) is required for getting level 2 in a stat with a recommended 2 or 3 stat increases if not investing heaps right away and while it sounds like a lot, it depends on how you view it as it is a newer game which could lead to better gains later as you keep playing, the game keeps getting developed and hopefully additional things to reward you DCORE.

Battling

I am going to start off sharing a lower level battle and roughly what to expect, depending on which demon you get and its stats compared to yours. This will help you see roughly the stats of 1st circle demons and some I have seen hit level 3 for a demon which is where guessing the name can help for reducing it, most have level 1 or 2 stats that I see, but isn't always certain and sometimes they have 0 on some stats.

As you can see I got a pretty low demon and the first damage I had done was from an attack that hit, before I used some magic to finish it off to gain 1.28 DCORE for slaying this demon in battle!

Now let me show you battling at the much higher, 5th circle of hell by showing two of the victories I have previously had.. the first was a one hit kill from an attack and got me 28.92 DCORE, the second was two hits but I got 31.49 DCORE for the reward and I will explain the bonus soon too.

But this shows a much higher level of the stats for demons found but rarely will I lose 5th circle battles though, only the odd battle once in a while. This is thanks to high damage output while my speed is a good level to dodge more often.

Bonus

The bonus DCORE earned is from this Idol of Bune trinket I bought off NFTMart (there are also other NFTs you can buy with other varying effects too but can cost more) for I believe it was about 1000 DCORE or something like that, but can increase the battle reward by up to 2 for any battle and has a bigger long term gain!

Energy & Sanity

This one will be brief. In the same little section as your staked and liquid DCORE balances, just below it you will have your current energy out of your total energy that you can have and this of course, is needed for you to fight a demon.

Your Insanity section below the energy will go from 0/9 and as you do a battle, it will rise by 1 and when you hit 9/9 you gain level 1 insanity. This will slightly lower your stats and isn't what you want.. it can be brought back down to 0 with a stat upgrade, or fighting an otherworldly demon and winning against it.

Leaderboard and top 3 rewards

As you can see from a freshly started weekly leaderboard only around a day in, I got into first place for a little while and I had dropped out of the top 3 which is fine, I expected that as others have higher attack to gain more attacks from a quicker recharge. But then I ended up making it back to 1st place again and I think the top 3 battle is going to be quite the close one this week!

Anyways the rewards, you can see the prizes for the top 3 are 500, 250 and 100 DCORE and is every week on the Friday. I am unsure what other reward ideas there will be so you can earn DCORE besides beating demons and being lucky to get into the top 3, but I am sure there will be plenty of updates to come and much more done for the game as it keeps growing and time goes on.
