Finally clearing the training yard
A good eight hours of sleep in this now secure training yard, power armour to help keep him safe and setting his sights on the next objectives, Arghrash was ready to grab some loot he thinks he missed upstairs before heading back out, to tell the settlers of his success here.
Upstairs was the Knight Astlin, dead and a distress pulser could be found bringing people to try a rescue but there were no signs of anyone reaching the distress pulser, which happened to still be broadcasting to others in the wasteland and in the end it saw their death before a rescue could be made.
"Now I have a password for this place I think I can check out the armoury and see how good it really is in there, for loot" Arghrash said while heading to and then through the door leading into it.
The initial area was rigged with a bunch of laser tripmines which could have ended badly.. if he hadn't disarmed them and taken the necessary fiber optics and crystal parts before killing some weaker ghouls and claiming ammo and some grenades, as the main things from a nearby trunk but this wasn't the superior section.
"Brace yourself and just get this power armour storage section cleared of whatever that ghoul is.. no doubt a tough one to defeat but it will be worth it" he said to himself before unlocking it with the password obtained in the main building.
After opening the security door it revealed a withered feral ghoul that was mean and very strong. Even with the laser damage being used to unleash hell and fury into this crazed ghoul, the couple of hits it did took almost half of Arghrash's health, even while using power armour to take less overall damage which was concerning.
Jet had to be used for slowing down time by giving him great speed, dodging was easy while shooting was even easier to allow this fight while tough at first, to start heading in a more positive direction.
By the time the jet had worn off and the ghoul came to its senses, it had taken enough damage to be on the last few laser shots left, to finish killing it and melting it into a pile of ash so Arghrash can check this new room out, in pease.
Inside wasn't very appealing with the loot you think you would find, he did get the other loot as well and could change out some power armour pieces for higher durability ones in this new one, plus another fusion core that could be taken.
Ultimately he decided to take the new power armour found in this armoury, instead of just the core and pieces and then he took whatever bits of loot and got out of this place.
"Ah crap what the hell is shooting at me this time?" shouted an angry Arghrash as he looked around. A bit ass sentry bot back in the training yard, now he had left, was shooting and it was looking like a mean and deadly machine to not be messed with so he got the hell out of there!
Upon his return to County Crossing to break the good news, of the ghouls being cleared out, it was brought to his attention that some raiders had been coming in force to do some mean threatening, demanding a random.. Arghrash had no time to deal with this so he gave the caps and the ransom would be paid this time.
It was getting late with the sun starting to set, missions and areas were successfully cleared and the wasteland was becoming a safer place, for all thanks to Arghrash.
He turned in for a nap due to being in good reputation here, he slept on a mattress which wasn't enough of a sleep, but enough to be capable of fighting what is next thrown his way.
