Helgen was not attacked by the spiders
Whiterun was once again, a useful place to do some smithing and buying and selling items, ore and other trickets and valuables.
It wasn't as exciting there right at this moment though and it was time to explore a different place.. the stables out front had Bjorlam the carriage driver, able to take Orcanorc to the main cities or villages.
"Where are you heading to" asked Bjorlam.
"I think I will check out Falkreath and see if there are any nice jobs or fun things to do out that way" replied Orcanorc before handing over the gold, to be transported to Falkreath.
Upon his arrival in Falkreath and having a brief chat with the guard, he entered into this nice looking village that seemed much more simple than Whiterun and more peaceful upon first glance. Orcanorc had to find the shops around Falkreath to get more familiar with their locations.
The closest one and more of a general trader with what he has, was run by Solaf and he at least had empty soul gems to buy for those damned souls that are going to ensure Orcanorc's weapons stay charged or enchanted.
"Let's head up the back of town Vorstag and up the path behind it, see what we can find" he said.
"That's fine by me, I heard one of the guards talking about some bandits up that way so we should clear them out as well" Vorstag replied before they headed out and came across two platforms connected by a bridge, to guard the path.
One bandit visible at the time was firing arrows to a spider in the distance, giving an opportunity for them to get closer though it should be quick and easy, being bandits.
As they were about to head under the bridge a sound could be heard. "What's that... watch out!" Vorstag shouted to Orcanorc as some rocks were heading his way, requiring a quick jump backwards to better avoid them.
A fight with the giant spider soon occurred, with a crackle of some lighting from Orcanorc's casting and a slicing of the sword, the soul of this spider was captured and placed inside an empty soul gem!
Vorstag already went up the side and took out the first bandit while the spider was being dealt with, after which the second bandit could easily be killed and this spot was way too easy for their level and strength now.
As the pair continued up this path and not knowing where it will lead them or what is waiting, a little camp among some rock cover was found with mostly some potions found and a few other goodies including a couple of books to read and learn from, besides that it was nothing special and a few bandits were killed and likely part of the pair guarding the path earlier.
"This place is a dump and looks like it has been hit by a dragon" Vorstag claimed as they ended up finding Helgen, which Whiterun had whispers in the distance of this place being attacked.
Inside the keep were signs of escape attempts and people trying to avoid fighting, bodies lay everywhere and surprisingly the loot was still here so maybe whoever had done this.. was not having enough time to loot or didn't actually need any of the stuff and could be someone strong!
When getting to the end of the keep which was a cave leading out the back, Orcanorc came across Hadvar who was lying on the ground, in pain.
"Please help me, I need to heal but lack a potion to get me on my feet" he explained before being given a potion to help out. They all make it out of the cave and hear it collapsing behind them.
"So was Helgen attacked by a dragon, is that why it is so ruined?"
They had a brief chat about the attack and how they should talk to Alvor in Riverwood if they want to know more about the attack and what is being done about the dragons looking to return. This is where Orcanorc and Vorstag had a chat about whether they should head straight there or explore the area a bit further.
