Saarthal is surprising
The group proceeds with Tolfdir and heads into Saarthal itself to see what it holds for them. "We must find out if there is any mystery or strange things happening here that is causing the strange abnormalies in the area" Tolfdir claimed as they all headed into Saarthal itself, from the excavation area.
A little into the area a Draugr was killed off before something bad happened.. "Ahhh no I.." Orcanorc muttered before burning to death from a fire rune by the looks of it, due to a sudden burst explosion prior to it.
Upon getting to the fire rune part it was noticeable this time and with some creeping cold to trigger it, the rune exploded and Orcanorc just avoided the explosion damage and fire.
"Whoa that was close this time but at least you remembered it" he thought to himself as Vorstag, Lydia and Tolfdir were shocked at how close it was from his face and body.
The next section immediately after destroying the rune had some restless Draugr that weren't very hard but were stronger than the normal ones.. what was harder though, was the Draugr Wight a little further up which had a lot more damage and could survive more blows and damage. It got some nice swings off on Orcanorc to take out half of his health but with the others coming as backup to help out, they took it down quickly enough and Orcanorc increased his abilities with one handed weapons.
"I better learn some more perks for my abilities and ensure I will have a more vast knowledge for my journey" he said as he decided to increase his magicka abilities, before choosing to enhance his enchanting mastery so the future enchantments become stronger and so will he. Also, staff channeler would help since he does like using a staff at times and this will help, to ensure the enchantment charges on them drain slower making it useful for longer!
A chest was found holding a scroll that can be kept for later but also a dwarven shield, something Orcanorc realised should be given to Lydia due to her always using a sword and shield.. that is not all though.
"Here you go Lydia. How about you take this dwarven shield and ancient nord war axe so you are even stronger, sorry I took so long to give you more gear as well" Orcanorc said as he handed her the items and she got to using them, right away.
More restless draugr were waiting down the hall to the next section, one which would be holding a puzzle to be solved.
Luckily the puzzle is familiar to ones in the past that were done. Behind the pillars were the animals required for each turn of the stone to open the door.
Through more rooms with draugrs and loot the group went, claiming what was worth taking and moving on to solve another puzzle. "Good thing it is just like the others hey Orcanorc?" Vorstag claimed as they turned the pillars and moved on to the boss of Saarthal.. it was Jyrik Gauldurson.
No matter what they did to hurt him it just was not effective.. until Tolfdir managed to disable the glowing orb in the room which removed Jyriks protection.
Now they were able to quite easily, finish Jyrik off and it was luckily found out so soon, since he was packing a punch on Lydia with only a few blows.
With this victory achieved and claiming the Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson which does a good amount of damage and double that to magicka, it was a welcomed addition for Orcanorc's strength to keep growing further.
He talked to Tolfdir about the orb and he requested speaking with the arch-mage in order to better understand what it is, what is going on and the next steps to take.
