This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types

Exploring an unknown base in Celadon City

After some healing and deciding to explore around the city and shop around a bit, Goliath was noticing behind the buildings was an open spot, which he found an entrance into the back of a building. This led to a room with a Poke ball on the table with a Pokemon in it.. it contained a Krabby at level twenty five but also had some nice moves like vicegrip and guillotine.

He moved on over to the massive Poke mart super store containing many levels and also shopkeepers holding different items that were selling things like technical machines of boosts to the stats of your Pokemon.

But right up the top you find a little girl who is so thirsty and no money for the vending machines, so good guy Goliath buys one of each type of drink. First is fresh water and for providing it, she gives the technical machine for ice beam which is a great move to get!

Best choice for the Pokemon which would be learning ice beam, is Dratini as it is going to stay around but will also become a solid damage dealer when stats are boosted even further.

Next up was the soda pop which would get the technical machine for rock slide, not something any current Pokemon will learn or be able to.. but a solid move to teach to one.

The lemonade managed to get Goliath tri attack, maybe something that will be useful for a current Pokemon until it learns great moves?

Shellder was the choice for learning tri attack so it had something better for damage while it learns its great moves, which will be even better when a higher level and evolved using the water stone!

Goliath went and checked out the game corner to see what it was like, finding a rocket grunt guarding a poster and wanting him to get lost.. well his Marowak wasn't convincing due to only using growl to lower Wartortle's attack which didn't matter, as water gun did the work to two shot Marowak.

It was time to test out the tri attack Shellder had learned by facing this Jigglypuff, it did an alright amount of damage considering Shellder was also two levels lower, it managed to get the win at least so then the switch behind the poster could be used, after the grunt went to tell the boss.

Upon entering the secret base for Team Rocket, he could see stairs to go to other floors and another grunt nearby.

It was decided to be more cautious here and go heal if getting through a lot of battles in this place, which that first grunt had a Nidorina to be defeated first and this gained Wartortle level twenty five and getting closer to evolving once more.

Following up to Nidorina would be a Voltorb and Goliath brought out his new Krabby to attempt using guillotine to take it out.. but no hits connected to it and sonicboom took down Krabby within a few hits. Venonat was needed for disabling the sonicboom, luckily before finishing the Voltorb with tackle multiple times and Goliath needed to think a bit about what he should be doing and not be so risky at times before moving on.

Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
