Hello, Gamers! As a hardcore gamer, I'm always looking for the next adrenaline-pumping adventure to dive into. And when it comes to first-person parkour games, Mirror's Edge Catalyst is one of my favorites, just like its predecessor if I'm not mistaken I think they are one of the few games out there in the genre. Today I want to show you the amazing mission of Elysium Labs.
Breaking into the place will come first
In this mission, Faith and Icarus team up to break into Elysium Labs and steal a top-secret blueprint for a powerful weapon. The graphics are impressive and the atmosphere is so immersive that you seem to be there together with Icarus.
Entering was not difficult, Icarus detects a corrupted window and we can start our mission through said window.
One of the things I liked best about this mission was the variety of parkour moves and techniques you have to use to navigate the complex building.
You have to run, jump, climb, slide, and swing through the obstacles on the way. And every time you clear a tricky section, another more challenging one begins.
Fight and Escape
Of course, it wouldn't be a true action game without intense combat. And Elysium Labs' search delivered on that front, too. The guards were relentless in their pursuit of Faith, bringing a new twist to the Elysium raid with combat and a survival escape.
Conclusion
One thing I appreciated about this mission was that it wasn't just mindless action. The story behind it composes everything next in the mysterious life of Faith, a decisive mission to continue. Also as we got deeper into the facility, we found out more about the weapon and the corporation's plans for it. I think this creates a lot more depth and a pretty big narrative improvement compared to the first title.
Overall, I'd say the Elysium Labs quest in Mirror's Edge Catalyst was a rewarding, exciting experience that gives you the “I want to play more” feeling. Graphics, gameplay, and the story came together to create a truly immersive gaming experience. If you're a fan of first-person shooter and parkour games, you don't want to miss this one. Thank you very much for reading and see you in the next post.
