Introduction
Yesterday, I was craving Thai food so I went to Absolute Thai @Main Place for dinner. This time my boss was busy so I went there alone.
Absolute Thai
Absolute Thai is a Thai restaurant located on the first floor of Main Place Mall. The same floor as Pepper Lunch which I had in my last sharing of eating out; they are actually right next to each other! I want to say this Thai restaurant is a bit more expensive than the average Thai restaurant. You can see from the google reviews that they have a 4 out of 5 stars so I was confident going in to try their food. Something I liked in their menu was that the prices included all the taxes so I could easily calculate the amount I was going to pay based on what I ordered. I will include the menu at the end in case anybody in Malaysia is interested in trying.
Food
I got the green curry beef with steamed rice and chinese tea ice. Something I didn't like was that the chinese ice was not refillable. In my opinion, that seems kind of cheap. I also didn't like how the rice wasn't included with the dish but that's business I guess. Chinese tea was like any other chinese tea; there was nothing special about it. I felt the green curry beef was just slightly better than the average green curry but it's not that much of a difference that warrants the increased price.
Concluding Thoughts
I enjoyed the beef curry but for the price I don't think it was that worth it. I will definitely have to come back to try the other dishes but due to the price it's not place I would come often to. The green curry and rice together with the tax was like RM32 and I think if I went to another place I could probably get a thai green curry for like 20-25 with the rice hence why I think it's not so worth it.
