Introduction
I've been busy with work and crypto projects and need to catch up on my food posts.I believe it was last Friday that I went to try another Thai restaurant at Main Place. This one was not as premium as absolute thai which I shared about three weeks ago. I came here by myself in the evening a bit late like 8:30pm + so the nice thing was that there wasn't a lot of people so my food didn't take long to get out of the kitchen.
Aroi Thai
Aroi Thai is a Thai restaurant that specializes in thai food specifically boat noodle and street food but they also have other options as well. This is a small franchise with a few locations and I've tried the one at Damen mall before. Honestly, I felt this location was better despite the better google reviews on the Damen mall one. You can see here below that they got 4.1 stars out of 203 reviews. Generally, I haven't had any issues with places that have at least 4 stars so hard to go wrong unless they bought their reviews.
Food
I ordered a bento set but it didn't look like a Japanese bento at all. It was just a deal with items together and I think it was a great deal. I got the green curry chicken bento and it came with mango sticky rice, red thai tea and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The chicken was very generous; I didn't expect to get a whole drumstick and another piece of chicken. The green curry chicken came with a pandan chicken, rice, egg, cucumbers and a Thai chili sauce. I enjoyed the mango sticky rice as well and I feel it's hard to mess that up. Ice cream is ice cream and I think they bought it so can't go wrong there either.
Concluding Thoughts
I usually have a picture of the receipt but I forgot to take it. I couldn't find it on my phone. Anyways, I enjoyed my dinner here. I'll definitely come back and come here more often than absolute thai since this one is at a better price point and the quality isn't too far below absolute thai.
