This week, which has already ended, I returned to the office, since my vacation is over. After arriving and greeting my colleagues and even before breakfast, I went to look for my cactus, which I had left in the care of two coworkers who have, let's say, virtues to take care of plants.

My cacti are better than when I left on vacation, only one died and my colleagues kindly replaced it with another one, they are all already on my desk brightening up my view, two of them need more soil, but that would imply covering them a bit or transplanting them and separating them, I will decide what to do about it.

But the nicest surprise and joy this week is that I have been given a new plant which, according to what I researched, is called a watermelon peperomia. There is a diversity of peperomias which are named for the colors of their leaves. For those who want to know a little more, I leave information here

Now, this plant, I had requested it to a work colleague for quite a while, but since it was not directly from her, it took her a while to bring it to me, since she had to steal some cuttings from her mother who refused to give them to her🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I was delighted to see how my partner improvised a planter with half of a mineral water bottle, which is proof that if we wish we can apply ingenuity and recycling.

Today, after doing some housework, I looked for a small pot to transplant it. It could not be an exaggeratedly big pot, since the intention is that it gives more leaves and then to transplant it again until I take it to the pot in which it will definitively be.

You will be able to see in the photographs the mini pot in which it was and even so you will also see that it was rooted, I transplanted it, cleaned a little its leaves and it is already at home, first I placed it in a window, but after investigating a little they advise that it must receive the sun in an indirect way, reason why I changed it of place and I put it next to another indoor plant that I suspect also is a peperomia.

The truth for those who do not love plants will see having a new plant as nonsense, but for me it is something wonderful, because from my point of view having plants in my windows and in the interiors of my home is something that I feel brings a wonderful and fresh atmosphere to any home and more to know that this particular plant is what is known as Pet-Friendly, ie is not toxic to pets that we have in our homes.

This week that is about to begin, I hope to be able to finally paint some mint supports that are a little rusty to move some plants that need to receive more sunlight, or that I want to bring indoors, but with a base that helps their mobilization in a more practical way.

I say goodbye hoping that your gardens are brimming with success, greetings to all and until the next publication full of greenery.

Is that a hanging plant?

Yes, this plant hangs a little when its branches are longer.

Tha is one of my favorites. =)

That's the other cool thing about plants, right? They can be gifted, swapped, shared .. and stolen 😜

That's right, there are many ways to obtain them. I'm sure we've all stolen at least one cutting from a plant. It's pure adrenaline at the time of the act and then you see the plant at home and it's so satisfying to feel that you have it there.

That new plant looks good! It's nice to receive, trade or gift cuttings to multiply plants. My propagation 'adventure' started when I was gifted a cutting earlier this year.

but for me it is something wonderful, because from my point of view having plants in my windows and in the interiors of my home is something that I feel brings a wonderful and fresh atmosphere to any home

I've been adding more plants to my house recently too and I definitely see what you mean!

It is interesting to know how has been your start in the world of gardening, which will make you feel very satisfied, sometimes there are mistakes and sometimes not expected results, but you always learn, that's for sure, and if a house where there are plants is always nice, so go ahead.

As for my new plant, it has me delighted, I already want it to grow and see many new leaves on it.
