I'm currently traveling, so my plants are staying at in Germany. While exploring, I was amazed by the orange trees that are everywhere in Portugal. Seeing them reminded me that I had arrived in Southern Europe.
I couldn't take a photo, but while visiting Cascais, which is near the westernmost point of Europe, I saw mimosa trees in bloom. Soon it will be March, and March 8 is International Women's Day, for which mimosa flowers are gifted to women.
Speaking of Cascais, There was a beautiful potted succulent with green and red leaves on the balcony of our hotel room. I took two cuttings as a souvenir. You can see the mother plant in the back, near the right side of the photo.
During the trip, I’ve been placing the cuttings in water in a suitable container. Once I return home, I'll plant them properly. Since succulents store water in their leaves, they are good traveling buddies without much worry.
While I was away, I received news that a plot has become available in a Kleingarten (a community garden similar to an allotment) near my home. In March, I plan to visit the Kleingarten that my friend rents to see the inside of the garden house. I hope I can finalize a contract soon!
That’s a short update. I'm looking forward to reuniting with my plants and the balcony soon.

旅行中につき植物たちはドイツでお留守番です。旅先では、ポルトガルでそこここで見かけるオレンジの木に感動して南ヨーロッパにきたのを実感しています。
写真を撮れなかったのですが、ヨーロッパの最西端に近いカスカイスでは、ミモザの木の花が咲いているのも見かけました。もうすぐ3月、3月8日の国際女性デーの花です。
カスカイスといえば、滞在先のホテルのバルコニーに緑と赤のきれいな葉の色の多肉植物の鉢が置いてあったので、2本ほど枝をお土産にいただきました。奥の中央右端に写っているのがお母さん植物です。
旅先では容器を見つけて都度水にさしています。自宅に戻ったら挿木します。多肉さんは葉っぱに水分を蓄えているので、心配少なく持って帰れます。
旅行中に、家からほど近いクラインガルテン（市民農園のようなコミュニティ）から空きが出たと連絡がありました。3月は友人が借りているクラインガルテンも候補の建物の内部を見せてもらって、契約できるといいな。
そんなこんなの短い旅先からのアップデートでした。植物たちと再開するのが楽しみです。
