The Background
So Covid is a biatch...
My family is now spaced across two countries making it all very difficult in present times.
We were all born in NZ but currently live in Australia, but this is the parents place in NZ. They are there and we are here. But we have daily (several times a day) updates about the garden. I have been helping them with FB and you tube. Neither are... well.. not into the cryptoverse.
My Mum is an avid gardener. She is always in a garden. Growing prize winning roses, getting bitten by strange Australian bugs and just a "green thumb". Ive seen her out at 6am putting ice around plants to keep them cool... lol.. Every garden she has done over has been stunning.
she even made my wedding cake with sugar flowers. (totally awesome cake)
The garden story
the garden was very much run down, a tangle of weeds a year ago as the previous owners couldn't manage it. Basically they are restoring the gardens to their former glory. She even takes note of the variety of roses and tulips that were available and tries to get the ancient varieties rather than more modern ones. (mostly)
they have an orchard and so many fruits and vegetables growing they keep giving away kilos and kilos of fruit every week.
Anyway here are some shots from around the ground taken by Dad. Note the cameo shots of Liberte and Sparkie (horse and dog). Who both took the trip across the ditch to NZ.
Oh and by over grown.... i mean this sort of overgrown

My painting
I did a painting from down the road.. It is the bottom one, the other two are local here.
Anyway thanks so much for stopping along and reading my posts I am just loving my HIVE experience so far. Such a fun platform for sure.
For those that don't know my i'm currently focusing on Daily painting and somewhat amusing my self and my family with Acrylic pouring.. lol.. i wish i had a separate studio for that as it is so messy.
