Late July Tour and Harvest!

SUMMER TIME, and HOT, HOT, HOT!
It's very easy to start to get down and distracted when the temps turn this HOT and there's often a lot of brown instead of green growing. So, What Maintenance Should I do In July? What does a July Harvest look like?
Let's take a walk around, and see! I do a late July tour of one of my gardens, a little harvest, and also, a chance for some garden maintenance.

My gardens are in 7a and 7b New England

Some days, its jsut too hopt to much of anything... and certainly some things, like tomato HATE fruiting and flowering in this heat. BUT, there's plenty to do. Weeding, the bane of every gardener needs doing always. AND watering. But, what else?

My first frost comes mid to late October, and, I KNOW I can get plenty of late August, and all of September growing in. I get warm days for the soil and cool nights that many plants love. BUT, NOW, during these hellish days of summer, is when I plan (and plant) for that. I started some seeds for transplant into my garden for my fall crop. Tomato. Cucumber. SQUASH, to name a few.

My gardens are in Zone 7a/7b New England.

Most of you know, I prefer to grow my own food, locally. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking, planes, trains, and boats, to get fresh foods to my table.

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

In Florida I had the help of the humidity to create a lush garden. Out here in the high plains there is not a lot of humidity so the heat tends to kill anything I attempt to grow. I also do not think I have very good soil. 🤔🤔
!PIMP

I tend to grow all in Fabric Grow Bags and make my own soil, fertilizer and compost, to make sure my soil is GOOD for growing.

You must be killin' it out here!
@wanderingmoon just slapped you with 1.000 PIMP, @bluefinstudios.
You earned 1.000 PIMP for the strong hand.
They're getting a workout and slapped 1/1 possible people today.

That basket you put the 'bunching onion' in — I have that same basket, same size, same design, same color! I was amazed when I saw you had one exactly like mine! 😂

Wear a hat 😆 save use the glare when watching your videos lol we are on a short trip 😅 hoping the neighbor is keeping some water on our garden. We were getting cukes and zuchini when we left. Just starting to get tomatoes. Should be a some to harvest when we get back.

Hey @bluefinstudios, here is a little bit of BEER from @pixresteemer for you. Enjoy it!

Do you want to win SOME BEER together with your friends and draw the BEERKING.

Sounds like it's been a challenging season for heat in a lot of gardens!
