Late July Tour and Harvest!
SUMMER TIME, and HOT, HOT, HOT!
It's very easy to start to get down and distracted when the temps turn this HOT and there's often a lot of brown instead of green growing. So, What Maintenance Should I do In July? What does a July Harvest look like?
Let's take a walk around, and see! I do a late July tour of one of my gardens, a little harvest, and also, a chance for some garden maintenance.
My gardens are in 7a and 7b New England
Some days, its jsut too hopt to much of anything... and certainly some things, like tomato HATE fruiting and flowering in this heat. BUT, there's plenty to do. Weeding, the bane of every gardener needs doing always. AND watering. But, what else?
My first frost comes mid to late October, and, I KNOW I can get plenty of late August, and all of September growing in. I get warm days for the soil and cool nights that many plants love. BUT, NOW, during these hellish days of summer, is when I plan (and plant) for that. I started some seeds for transplant into my garden for my fall crop. Tomato. Cucumber. SQUASH, to name a few.
It really helps me out if you subscribe to my YouTube Channel...
...and of course, if you SHARE the Video, too!
MANY Thanks!
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
