Hello everyone! Sorry for not giving too much news, we went through a loss in our family, and I don't know how much my wife wants to talk about it, but we lost her dad very recently, and we are going through a period of grief.
In the meantime, I am releasing my biggest song so far, the single is called "Mad World", and hopefully I can post about it once the music video is done shooting, which will take a few more weeks to do so.
I am also preparing for a gig in Paris on the 3rd of March.
To honour my father-in-law, we burnt a fire at night up until dawn, the same day of the funeral, as we couldn't be there in Polokwane, South Africa.
300 people of the village gathered all night to mourn and pray for his soul's departure, and so did we. When the sun rises, the 300 people marched to the funeral site, and we kept the fire alive until the sun was up, as a form of respect for my father-in-law.
While preparing the land, for this year, with the help of our sturdy neighbor, we found a few potatoes from last year, that were preserved in mint condition.
I just did a potato bake with them yesterday, and it was delish...
As you can see a lot has grown since last year, and there will be plenty of job to do.
There are a few butternut squash from last year that I didn't harvest and let to rot on the field, it's good for the soil anyway.
I came to the realization this year, that I will have to work in a more intelligent manner, and it's the same for posting.
I can't spend several hours making a post, and in the end, it doesn't bring much.
I understand how some can do that, but I am not ready to give as much as I used to, I guess I am growing up haha. It's about finding your value in this world, and I think now I know mine (and shocker, it's not a few cents).
I am still cherishing all the friendships made here along the way, that's about it.
I only wanted to focus on the good potatoes, as there were a bunch of rotten ones. Don't focus on the rotten ones, they're rotten anyway and will bring nothing good into your life.
Actually, try to ignore and cast away all the rot of your life. You don't need this.
Focus on the healthy branches, the healthy stems, with friends, family, loved ones.
Now that the land is cleared, we can focus on what to grow this year. We also want to get more chicken, some of them didn't survive a lice infection.
I'm digging out a few poles right now from last year's tomatoes, and then we'll think of a map to be the most efficient with the space, I haven't thought too much of it for now!
I promise you that will answer all the replies that I've seen on hive lately, and the mentioning (@buckaroobaby @enginewitty), sorry for the silence, I hope I can enjoy going back to writing posts soon, but for now I am a man on a mission 😎
Take care, everyone!!!
Much love!!!
