I have quite busy for today's activities and its been a few days since I did not checked my Simple Garden due to a busy situations. I decided to went and visit my Garden near in our house and I found out that plants and vegetables I planted in the area are already produced more vegetables. I felt very happy and proud to myself to see this good results behind of my Hard works and dedications to make a simple garden here in our place.
As for today's blog of mine, I will share the vegetables I have here in the place and my new activities in Life, by culturing telapia fish for our Family Business.
Last month, I planned to plant more Monggo vegetables here in the Garden. This vegetables is one of my favorite specially when it comes to Monggo soup dishes. The Prize per kilo is reach up to 100 Pesos and that is 2 dollars already. It is quite expensive to is here, that is why I decided to plant this kind here in our Place. I was very surprised and happy to see those yellow monggo flowers, and it is also expected produce vegetable seeds. Some of it are already produced monggo seeds but it is not yet ready to harvest.
Monggo seeds will take a lot of time before harvesting and it should be harvested once the stalks and the leaves will withered and dried. Some of the plants already produce monggo seeds just like a finger size. And while waiting to harvest in the right time, I also cleaned around the plants. First, I removed those wild grasses that can harm my vegetables and cultivated the soil so that it can keep pulverized. I also checked the leaves to see of there are any harmful insects just like appids. This kind of insects will damage the leaves of the vegetables.
Checking my Lemon-Grass:
Next, I also checked my lemon grass and it grows very healthy because of the organic fertilizers I applied to the plants. Last day, I sell two bunches of lemon grass for 300 pesos that is 6 dollars. It is quite good kind for business and I really want to plant more lemon grass here in my simple garden. I also removed the wild grass, and cultivated the place so that it can easily grown and produce more leaves. Lemon grass is good for medicinal porpuses but most of all, it is good more any kinds of dish just like fish soup.
My Sugar Cane Plant:
I really love to eat sugar cane because it taste very sweet. Sugar cane is very popular here in the country, in fact this is one of the primary Ingredients to produce sugar. This is very simple to propegate this, just cute the sugar cane tubers 6 inches long and plant it in the fertile soil. By keeping it safe from the ants, we can also applied some small amount of water mixed with crushed chilli pepper and spray. Insects will keep away because of the chilli peppers. I removed those wild grass and keep it cultivated.
My Young OKRA vegetables:
Okra vegetables should be cultivated too, so that the soil can always be soft and pulverized. Plants will easily grow if the place are always pulverized because it can instantly went those nutrients come from the water to the Plants roots. Removing those wild grass is also very important so that the vegetables wont die and withered. I decided to do mulching methods that is why it is very easy to clean and cultivate.
This are my Sweet potato leaves and eggplant. It grows very healthy also like the other vegetables of mine here in the Garden. I also removed the grass near at it and out some organic fertilizers just like sawdust.
Homesteading: Feeding My Cultured Telapia Fish
Aside of planting more valuable plants just like coconuts, we also cultured commercial telapia fish here in our Place. Our area is very wide and spacious, so its better to do some family business aside of coconut selling. Every 7 in the morning, I always feed this fish with floaters and I am very happy that all of it are grows.
In our Pond, almost 1,600 Commercial telapia are being put and this can make a great family business to us. We occupied this place near at the river so that the submersible cables can reach the water for this pond. This is really a perfect place to do this kind of business because it is near at the water and cool place Because of bamboo plants and coconut trees.
