As you may have noticed I have new thumbnails this week, thanks to @riverflows and her creativity. I really like this new style.
I found it a bit harder to get a spread of highlights across the world this week, as the North heads into winter. The tropical regions are still growing well, but they can be counted on for year round production anyway.
Starting on a new growing adventure is @allani545. This week we were walked through the basics and ideas of costs in setting up an aquaponics system. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress as the plants and animals are added. I heard on the grapevine the animals might be crayfish, which is a change from fish.
Hydroponics and aquaponics is a great food growing option when you have a mostly paved garden and someone else who utilises it for this reason is @ligayagardener. Speaking of whom, this week he shares with us some wisdom on pests and predators in the garden and how he been learning to recognise them and manage things without sprays.
I do love the look of a neat, pretty garden and many times wish I could organise my own better. This week I got to live vicariously through the beautification of @safrinasunshine's garden makeover. I love how she adds not just plants to this outdoor scene, but stones and some paint too.
Then for a completely different type of garden, @deythedevil shows us around his mini garden? I'm not sure how he fits so much growth and abundance in a mini garden. Maybe it's a magic garden, bigger on the inside than the outside. I feel a Tardis reference coming on, but will everyone across the world understand that?
