Garden Journal Bi-weekly Newsletter 16th August 2023

Well that was an odd start to this fortnight's stroll through the gardening posts! I was briefly whisked away to another planet by @riverflows on a whimsical garden adventure which swiftly became less whimsical...

...Thankfully, @generikat calmed things down with the chance to unwind in her beautiful garden, enjoy some flowers and admire the fruits...That hops bine is pretty spectacular too!

Despite the suspicious looking garden gnome, @proto26's garden update is wholesome as well. I've always enjoyed his writing style and it looks like he's been up to a variety of garden adventures, including some terrarium things.

Gardening can be as cheap or expensive as you need it to be. This was something @anttn reminded me of this week. I love those clever little cuttings transporters!

There were lots of great garden posts again and it was hard to whittle it down, but I'll leave you with something a little different as @senorcoconut shows us what nature's garden can produce. foraging is shopping with a difference.

Gardening can be cheap and expensive

True dat

Thank you for showing off my post! It's true, nature's garden is amazing.

It was my pleasure. That was an amazing haul. When you panned down to the lower clusters I could immediately see how much fresher and younger they looked. It can be hit and miss with mushrooms, you either reach them too late or too soon, rarely just right. 😆

So very true! And boy some mushroom are stinky when you're coming up on them too late

Thanks !

IT was so cool to see @senorcoconut with those big oyster mushrooms. And love to see dear Proto's gnome make it to the newsletter haha. I'm sorry if i disturbed you - it started off well but once those snails starting biting, things got a bit hectic haha!

Hey thanks for the shout out!!!! What's this about snails biting???

I will never look at snails in quite the same way again! 🤣 Hopefully that gnome of Proto's doesn't start biting too. 😱

@proto26

Congratulations on being selected and healthy garden and hope to be gardening like you
