Last week @riverflows did something a little different to the usual newsletter and invited everyone to a little conversation in the comments, with a prize to be given out for her favourite comment. Well I'm pleased to announce that @itsostylish was the winning comment and 5 Hive should be on its way to you. 🙂
Many gardeners and homesteaders who share here on Hive do so because they are not just gardening, but trying to reach out into wider communities to make a difference. These connections are something that Malcolm, the @ligayagardener, has been building for some time now. Recently he has established another connection and has teamed up with Agriadventures, a local booking company in his state, for a fortnightly podcast. This time it was about pests and predators and is well worth a watch.
There has been lots happening at @samstonehill's, from fasting to preserving and figuring out healthy cat food that the cats will actually eat. Other interesting experiments have been happening too. Then over with @rukeros I got to enjoy a tour of the garden as they harvest and take note of what's still producing. Gotta love a garden selfie as well, right @riverflows?
@fenngen and @choli of @rukeros, if my deductions are correct.
I also had an invite to tour @artywink's lovely garden. I've been looking on in envy at those little avocados growing and start to daydream...
Then back to reality as I try to catch up a bit with @jacobpeacock on his apocalyptic homestead. I admit I don't manage to get through all of his updates, but each one is guaranteed to be an interesting read. They are often thought provoking and usually revealing with regards homesteading reality when there's only yourself to rely on.
Do visit the HiveGarden Community for more great gardening posts. There are so many not that I've not been able to mention.
This week I'd like to thank @progressivechef for the ongoing @gardenhive delegation with a beneficiary from this post.
