Mama was so over the moon as she just found out that the tree she planted when Papa was still with us is finally bearing fruit, so Mama spread the news as if she just won the lottery. Isn't that cute? Lol.
If you are one of my friends here or if you stumble upon some of my posts here, you've probably seen this tree before in my posts, as I love it to be subjected to some of my photos. I also love to use it as a background image on some of the subjects I captured. I just love everything about this tree, even though it is so thorny, and I've got scratched with it a lot of times already. But of course it's my fault and not the tree, lol.
Remember these? Look how pretty the tree is as a background image. It is so green, and it can even enhance what was the main subject in the photo. That's why I like this tree. But of course, Mama loves it more because this tree is like a reminder of Papa. It is sad that Papa is not here with us anymore, but at least this big tree is just like his soul, a beautiful reminder of his existence. He may not be with us physically, but he is always in our hearts.
Anyway, Mama said that this tree is an orange tree, but when she finally saw it's fruit, she told me that she finally remembered it and that it was actually a sunkist. So I'm not sure now what to call it, lol. So I decided to check to see which was which. And after checking its fruit and the leaves, I told Mama that it was actually a pomelo tree. But even I am not sure about that either, lol. It's hard to tell by its leaves and its unripe fruit. All we can do is guess because we ate different kinds of fruits already, and we just often throw the seeds in our backyard, hoping that one day they will grow. Then one day, tadaaaaaaaaan! This one sprout out of nowhere and we are so happy about it.
What do you think, guys? We waited for it for so long, and this is actually the first time that it has bear it's first fruit. That's why Mama is very excited and happy. I just hope it bears more fruit as it grows taller and older?
And here's its first fruit, cute and green, I bet it is super sour too. How many months before we can harvest it? I don't know, but Mama is ready for that already, she's a girl's scout, I tell you! Lol. Or maybe it is just because she is super excited, lol. Even I can't wait anymore, haha. I'll share that here once we see it and once we already make sure just what kind of fruit it is.
And here's the newly created "Panungkit," or a long kind of stick with a hook for picking fruits or whatever in high places or trees of my Mama. She's really just getting ready for harvesting time, lol.
All we can do right now is sit and wait, and whatever kind of fruit it is, we will happily wait here on the corner, as we have always done for the past few years. And I will that one fruit for now a Limited Edition because after more checking, we didn't find anymore fruit, there's only one. And isn't that a limited edition (✿^‿^).
