Hello Hive friends❤
How are you all? Hopefully we are all healthy, let me introduce myself, my name is @yuliadi, I am from Indonesia, I have read the rules of the community and I will obey them, this is my first post in this community, I hope I am accepted and appreciated here🙏
Today I returned to my chili garden to investigate the pest activity that was disturbing and making my chili plants curl and turn yellow, a few days ago I had sprayed chili plant pest control and now I will check whether the pest is still alive or can be controlled
chili plants attacked by pests
This is a chili plant that has started to recover after all the shoots died and the young leaves fell off after I sprayed the poison to control the yellow pest, the young leaf shoots began to grow back evenly then I looked from under the leaves, it turned out that there was no more pest movement, maybe they were all dead
Pests that often bother chili plants are thrips and tungou pests which are very fine and not easy to see at a glance, you have to use a magnifying glass to make it easier to see these pests
Because of my negligence, this chili plant is so bad attacked by pests but in this one garden not all plants were attacked only two percent were attacked but I have been able to control it because all pests have died after spraying with insecticide with the active ingredient abamectin
normal chili plant
Not only that I also compared it with chili plants that were not attacked by pests, they grew very well and had started to bear fruit but could not be harvested yet I just tried to plant this cayenne pepper which has a long and large stem shape and large white fruit and bright red when ripe
This chili comes from seeds that I bought at an online store with the abayomi variety which is classified as superior cayenne pepper, in the nursery the chili seeds were already large and the leaves were wide and after I planted it until now we can see the development is extraordinary very wide leaves large and long stems hopefully the fruit will also be abundant
my chili garden
My garden is not too big, it can only fit 400 chili plants with a planting distance of 50cm × 50cm, a large bed of 1 meter and a 50cm aisle garden this is behind my house
big red chili plant
There is also a large red chili plant growing among these cayenne peppers, I actually let it grow as a test of its resistance and I want to see how it grows without me giving additional fertilizer, according to the information I got from farmers that excessive use of fertilizer can cause curling of leaves on chili plants and also if large red chili plants are planted together with cayenne peppers, they will be stunted and cannot grow optimally
So far, the estimate is correct because without additional fertilizer, these large red chilies do not curl and are still very safe, and their growth looks stunted and not optimal, although now they have started to bear fruit, but they are not as long and not as big as cayenne peppers.
That's my chili plant post, thank you to everyone, have a nice day
