This is a drawing I made for the drawing challenge posted by @dinglehopper . I chose the night creatures prompt which is for this day September 12.
Plum the Platypus
My drawing is inspired by a platypus and it is capable of flying.Meet Plum the enchanting purple platypus with striking pink horns that gracefully adorn her head. With light green eyes that shimmer like gemstones, Plum is not your ordinary creature. She calls the sky her home, where she soars among the stars with graceful furs instead of webbed feet. Plum's presence in the night sky is a mesmerizing spectacle, and her unique blend of colors and grace captures the hearts of those lucky enough to witness her celestial dance. Hope she was able to capture and enchant you.
Here are some progress images while I was working on the drawing
Scribbles of the creature not yet sure what kind of animal it will be at this stage. I just want a long or curvy torso and ears with a beavers tail.
As I make the line drawing I kept adding details until I decided to make it fluffy and replaced the ears with a pair of horns curving towards the back
Here I am decided to make the color predominantly purple and chose accent colors to work with it
The last details are the stars and the night background
