Welcome to 365 Draw A Day Drawing Challenge. A drawing challenge that aims to enjoin participants to create on a regular basis and thus help improve their skills. Today, my drawing is
Princess-like Ciri The Cat
Ciri is an ordinary feline creature that lives in the ordinary neighborhood where all sorts of creatures are found. Today, Ciri or Cirilla is feeling regal wearing a nice garment speckled with glitzy stones and pearls. She is also wearing a necklace to match her outfit. This is no big day just an ordinary day to welcome her guest or maybe more guests arriving soon in her humble home. Ciri the cat loves to entertain friends at home. She carefully picks all the details from the table settings down to the kind of dishes she serves her guests. Ciri is smart, frugal and never boring. She can pull off almost anything without breaking the bank.

An idea can start from something like in this case a fur. I am in the mood today to draw a fluffy thing around the neck. This is my starting point and have no clear vision yet as to how this would turn out.
The fluffy collar I think would work on a character that is graceful and refined and so a cat character immediately came in my mind. Here I am already working on the bottom part of the collar which looks like a regal overcoat or something like that.
Let me put aside the cat image and focus on this beautiful garment that is forming right before my eyes. Initially the fluffy collar is made in brown which I love. I did not want to create much contrast and chose a darker shade of that brown to form the bottom part. To give it some sparkle I added blotches of grey and light tangerine color to the garment. I varied the sizes to give it that interestingly luxurious feel to it.
Here I added the feet and the long tail of the cat character. I am going for that Siamese cat look well that is my inspiration.
That explains why I chose blue for the eyes. A Siamese cat indeed. To further define the face of this cat I added some darker shades on the contour and a little dab of blush on the cheeks. I call her Ciri. Hope you like it.
This challenge as you can tell requires a ton of commitment as it literally involves creating one drawing for a whole year. Never fret if you miss a day or two just try to catch up or start on a day that you can. What matters most is you have fun with no pressure creating.
