Welcome to 365 Draw A Day Drawing Challenge. A drawing challenge that aims to enjoin participants to create on a regular basis and thus help improve their skills. Today, my drawing is
I made a group of cabbage as my participation in the 5 days of drawing vegetable challenge which is initiated by @shookt. Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetable and one of my favorite to draw because of its beautiful leaves.
Here is how I made my drawing for today
I started with a piece of leaf. Had to be showing the nice shape and the ruffle like look of the vegetable. I can copy and paste this later to complete the look.
I made another piece to complete that round shape of the cabbage so far looking good.
I added more layers and I can go on for a couple more depending on the amount of details that I want to show. Here I already started to define each leaf by adding that light green veining.
Even the smallest area needs to show the veins of the cabbage leaf
One final detail is adding the light and shadow on the image. This will add texture and visual interest on the otherwise flat looking image.
This challenge as you can tell requires a ton of commitment as it literally involves creating one drawing for a whole year. Never fret if you miss a day or two just try to catch up or start on a day that you can. What matters most is you have fun with no pressure creating.
