Good evening my beloved brothers and sisters. I welcome you all to my blog.
I'm here again to enlighten us more on what I title Barriers to entrepreneurial practices. Indeed, there are barriers to entrepreneurial practices in our various businesses.
No entrepreneur has encountered such ever since he or she started his or her journey as an entrepreneur. I would love to tell you what barriers are.
Barriers refer to those hindrances, misfortunes, and losses that prevent or impede an entrepreneur from achieving his or her goal. Barriers could be so discouraging. It could stop a man, from fulfilling his purpose on earth.
It could be technological, emotional, economic, personal as well as social barriers.
What Are Practices?
Practices refer to those systematic actions or behaviors exhibited by people so they can reach a certain level. Some people might choose to be involved in good practices, while some, might choose not to be involved in it.
I will be deliberating more on three important barriers to entrepreneurial practices. They are personal barriers, environmental barriers, and social barriers.
(1) Personal barriers: Personal barriers could impede an entrepreneur from achieving his goals. Take, for instance, a man who knows he should work harder to cater to his family and is seen at the drinking parlor with his friends every morning.
It doesn't mean that he's not creative. Sometimes, it might look so boring for him to stop going to that drinking parlor to enjoy with his friends.
To him, that's where he belongs. He might feel, he won't succeed.
Examples of personal barriers are:
(A)Lack of confidence. Anyone who refuses to confide in himself or herself would never make a good entrepreneur. This is one of the reasons some people are not progressing in their businesses.
An Entrepreneur must have confidence and be ready to accept whatever it would take him or her to attain his or her goals.
(B) Unwillingness to invest money. So many entrepreneurs fall into this category. Stingyness is a deadly disease, and it should not be found among entrepreneurs.
When an entrepreneur refuses to spend his money on things that he or she would benefit from till eternity, that becomes a big barrier. And if care is not taken, such business will crumble.
(2)Environmental barriers: Our environment could also be a barrier to our businesses.Economic, deals with funds. If an entrepreneur doesn't have enough funds to maintain his or her business, the reverse might be the case.
Lack of funds is one thing that could build a business or destroy a business. Aside from money, our businesses should be well sited
(3) Social barriers: The word social, has to do with our society. Our society could be a barrier to our business success. Remember, a child who grew up in a certain society behaves like the people who are living there.
So, in business, society can hinder us by preventing us from doing what we want to do. One way in which such a thing could be done is through culture.
There are some businesses you can do in certain societies because their culture permits such, and there are other communities that you cannot operate in because their culture doesn't permit it.
Let's help ourselves as entrepreneurs. Let's not fold our hands and watch our businesses as they crumble. I assure you that if we take a careful look at our businesses, we will be able to point out those barriers and also find a way of dealing with them.
