Greetings, my friends! I hope you're all doing well on this fine day. As I was making my way through the Doun Penh streets of Cambodia, I encountered a bit of a roadblock, the police stop me and told me to drive another road, all the motorists are moving the direction as me too.
You see, the usual route I take to the national park near the Royal Palace was under construction, so I decided to take the road less traveled. Now, I know what you're thinking – "Uh-oh, this guy's about to get lost!" But let me tell you, this alternative route turned out to be a greater and it was so developed than ever before.
As I navigated the winding streets, I can see e how clean and well-maintained the roads were. It was a refreshing change of pace from the usual traffic and tree all along. I felt like I was on a fun walk Sunday drive, taking in the sights and sounds of the city.
As I got closer to the national park, I spotted an elephant statue by the side of the road. Now, I don't know about when was this build, but I'm a sucker for a good photo op,. The statue was surrounded by the most adorable little grass patches, and I just had to stop and admire them for a bit.
After my capture a several photo session, I continued on my way, my stomach starting to grumble. Luckily, I knew just the spot to satisfy my cravings – a little street food vendor not too far from the national park entrance. I pulled over and joined my friends who were already there, eagerly awaiting the arrival of our favorite crispy potato fries.
As we sat there, munching on our delectable treats, I can feel fresh air for this little detour. Sure, the original plan might have been a bit disrupted, but sometimes the best adventures come from unexpected turns. And let me tell you, this one was definitely worth it.
