#My11th - Eat All You Can in Bataan!

in #hive-1413593 years ago

Good day Hiveans!

Have you been to an eat all you can restaurant? How many times do you go back and refill your plate? When is the best time for you to go to an eat all you can restaurant? morning? lunch? or dinner?
Well, for me as long as you are hungry and you can afford it then go! haha. So let me tell you about our adventure for today. Just continue scrolling down and make sure to bring a napkin because you will be salivating. hehe

We, Filipinos are commemorating our 124th Independence Day and it's a weekend my family and I travelled to Pampanga and Bataan for some business. We left for Gua-Gua Pampanga past 7am because we will be meeting someone there. After our meet up at around 10am we then headed to Dinalupihan,Bataan for another meet up.

While passing by Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) we were greeted by this very beautiful sunlit skies, lush greenery just beside the hi-way which lifts your spirit and truly makes you very happy to be alive on this day plus I am witnessing and experiencing this beauty with my family which made it more amazing and it's a Sunday so I am truly grateful indeed.

Our travel to Pampanga was just smooth and our business transaction went well so it did not take us that long before heading to our next itinerary. Joseph my hubby, Angelo my son and myself decided to have our lunch at our favorite eat-all-you can restaurant which is just in the same area for our next business transaction in Dinalupihan, Bataan. Have you been to Bataan? where? please do share.

The name of the place is called Arcavista, This used to be the Bariotik Eat all you can restaurant but after the pandemic they moved out of the place and the owner of the establishment to whom Bariotik was renting continued on the restaurant and renamed it to Arcavista. The restaurant is just along the hi-way so a lot of travelers going to Bataan and from other places have their meals here. The place is not that fancy it has this Filipino country side vibe to it, very homey.

When we arrived there it was almost 11:00am and there were already quite a few people inside the restaurant. Upon your arrival you have to pay P282.00 in Philippine peso around $5.31 in US dollars per plate or per person. That's the value of their eat all you can.
Not bad really since they have a lot of delicious meal prepared.

The walls of the restaurant is adorned with huge framed photos on some of the famous places in Bataan like the famous Mt. Samat and the famous Bataan Pawikan (Tortoise) which can be found in the Bataan Pawikan Conservation Center located at Morong, Bataan

There is a long table where the food is being displayed. You just have to choose which one's you like to eat. That's basically the essence of an eat all you can you, just eat to your hearts content as long as you still have space in your tummy's just go go go. There were 15 dishes on the long table. Here are some of the food that I quietly took some photos because you know some might be wondering why I am taking photos of the food.

They have the very famous Menudo which is a traditional stew made with pork and sliced liver in tomato sauce with carrots and potatoes.

They also served the Kalderetang Pork which I thought was beef kaldereta.

Kaldereta is one of the dishes you’ll always see during any festivities in the Philippines. We have other variations of this like the beef, goat and chicken kaldereta. Whether it’s a birthday celebration or town fiesta, you will, without doubt, be seeing it on the table.
This dish originated in Spain and is called “caldereta”, which means “cauldron” or “cooking pot”.

We, Filipinos have adapted this recipe since the Spaniards have occupied our county for a very long time.
They’ve been here for 300 years and it’s nothing but natural for the us to not only get used to the Spanish culture, but also their cuisine.
So what better way to eat this food since we are celebrating our Independence day from the the Spanish colonization today, right!

Have you tried this dish too? Which among the Kaldereta variation do you like?

Next is the chicken curry. This is my son's favorite dish. He keeps on requesting this at home because he says my cooking is the best... Got to love your own right! glad I have my son to attest to it... haha.
You can also use other meats like pork, beef, goat's meat for this dish.

For the vegetables they have the chopsuey.
This delightful blend of veggies is one of the many contributions the Chinese have had to our cuisine. Chopsuey, as the Chinese know it, is a dish of meat, like chicken, fish, or beef, and eggs, cooked with vegetables like bean sprouts and celery in a thick sauce. While many usually enjoy chopsuey with rice, Chinese American cuisine adds noodles to the mix. This produces the Chinese American version of chow mein fast food chains like Panda Express have made so popular.

Chopsuey’s name literally translates to “assorted pieces” –– and for good reason. Since its origins in China, this dish has spread globally due to its easy instructions and accessible ingredients. Even humble carinderias or cafeterias around the Philippines serve chopsuey as a viand daily. Not only is it a delicious and filling lunch, but it’s chock full of nutrients that make eating healthy taste so good.

Do you like eating chopsuey too?

For the fish they have grilled Telapya and tuna with coconut milk.
They also have adobong pusit or squid. They served pineapples and bananas as the fruit dessert.
Since I have a sweet tooth I opted on eating the Ginataang Bilo-bilo or in English Sticky rice balls in coco milk. It is a fusion of banana's, sweet potatoes, taro, langka or Jackfruit with sticky rice balls and coconut milk. What a delight! so delicious. I ate 2 bowls of it. haha.

They even have a jack fruit tree just outside the restaurant with fruit and one is already ripe because I can smell it's sweetness.
Do you like jack fruit? Me, oh my! it's my favorite among all the fruits.

Beside the restaurant are two swimming pools. One for the kids and the other for the adults. This place is really awesome because you don't need to bring any food when you come and swim or celebrate any special days like birthdays or christening or even anniversaries because the restaurant is just beside the resort.
The owner is really clever. Hitting two birds with one stone.

This is their gazebo area where you can set up some tables here for special occasions.

Of course a family bonding moment is not complete without photos right! So here are some of our photos.
