Hello my awesome hive friends,
Today is an extension of our holiday. We don't have work for today so we went on a hiking/biking adventure with our son. He has been telling us to go with him for many months now to see the bike trails that he frequently visits. My son is a mountain bike enthusiast. He loves biking so much so for today we obliged on his invitation.
The place is called Pamulaklakin Forest Trails. It is located inside Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.
Earlier today we headed to the forest trail. There are many forest trails inside Subic Bay since this place is protected you will see huge trees and lush forest, clean rivers as well. Truly a perfect place to unwind with nature. So if you're a nature lover you should definitely come here and visit Subic Bay.
We crossed a steel bridge and below is the very clean river before going to the bike trails which in on top of the forest park.
The route to the bike trails is really an uphill so there are trikes and single motor bikes beside the entrance of the park who will bring you to the bike trails. The ascent will take about 10 minutes on a trike but some bikers who wish to climb the steep road will take around almost an hour for the professional riders but if you're a beginner maybe more than an hour. You will pay sixty pesos (Php60) or $1.13 fare for the trike to pull the bikers up the bike park. Since me and hubby rode the trike so we paid sixty pesos each as well. The road is about two kilometers long so it's really quite far. I was really enjoying the trike ride with my son being pulled by the trike. He said I don't want to exhaust myself on this uphill road since you need lots of energy going to the bike trails. There are around 4 bike trails inside the park. I was not able to take a photo of my son being pulled by the trike since we are inside the trike.
This is the entrance to the bike park. It has a beautiful landscape, all green. My heart was about to burst in utter happiness. It was just pure bliss for me seeing this wonderful, peaceful, happy place. Then my son as if seeing my expression, suddenly said, see I told you mama you will fall in love with the place. That's why I keep coming back here. I told him, me too, we will come back here again as frequent as possible.
Since it was still early our son was just practicing around the bike park grounds. Checking on his bike every now and then.
There is a small store on the park so we ordered some noodles with egg to be cooked for our breakfast and some hot coco. While waiting for the noodles, hubby was laying down on the hammock and just chillin.
While I roamed around the place and took some photos. The owner of the place have some animals. They have some geese a carabao and some goats.
Look at this goat, he was just looking at me as if saying, You like what you see? hahaha
Of course we have some group selfies as well. We can only take some pictures with us and this happy memory.
Since it was starting to get hot already we then headed to the trail. The name of the hiking/biking trail is Anito trail.
This is the entrance of the trail.
There are many huge trees inside the trail. The air is so fresh and even if it's already hot outside but the temperature inside the trail is cool felt like there was a centralized AC in the area... haha.
I kept on taking some photos that hubby was already very far from me and it was just me and the trees and the shrubberies around. Very peaceful. I felt like I could feel the presence of the Lord there.
We finished the Anito trail around 45 minutes hike. Then we crossed to the next trail which is a descent leading back to the forest trail. This trail is mostly bamboo and also lots of huge trees as well. Here we got hold of our son because when we were on the first trail he went to the other trails so we just met up on this trail going down. We were then able to take photos of him riding his bike on the trail. I am so happy seeing my two boys just having fun, laughing and hubby taking videos of Angelo. Timing his descent.
As a wife and a mother this is utter happiness for me. Just having good, harmonious relationship together. Respect and trust abounds.
We were just having a fun time together as a family. No other soul around just us.
I would stop and see some fungi on trees. These were like a family of mushrooms so I took photos of them.
When we were on the park grounds I saw some red and white periwinkles that really made me so happy because I seldom see the red one's and this white with red dot on the center.
So this was how my day went, spent well with my two precious.
I hope you had fun reading my post. See you on my next adventure.
Well-being abounds, always.
Love to you all,
