Today my friend and I are heading out to make a Kayak trip to some stones that are off the beach where we are staying. We decided to make the trip around the jetty to see what can be seen and possibly climb on some of the rocks.
We head towards the triangle rock floating on the water from this angle.
Feet ready for the paddling.
Towards shore.
The leaning rock of black stone.
We slowly make our way over to the rocks and poke around the holes that are found when close up towards the rocks. Fascinating how the formation of these stones are now here to explore.
Getting closer
I wonder what is under those rocks?
The water is not that deep here as we are along the bank close to the rocks.
Dare we pass through the arch?
Looking up while between the arch.
Barnacle incrusted rocks...lets go over to have a look.
The growth is nice to see as the waves lap over the sea creatures bringing food and the right environment for these barnacles to thrive.
The checkered patters in green and black is where it is at.
The red on these barnacles is a difference between the other...I wonder if they are different?
Moving on from the open ended cave we find a lagoon to take a dip in.
The rock wall of black rocks.
Hut on the beach is always ice to see. Even thought this is in a lagoon where boat do not come.
Lets go there.
many I try to climb this rock but there is so many salt crystals that instantly shred my hands.
The spear head rock, to sharp to climb. Too shallow to fall from.
Between the rocks is sharp and wet a nice place to stop and see the formations of years gone by.
Arrowhead rock.
Around the cornet from this is a lagoon that we hang out in and take a swim in.
That me under there...the closest ill get to doxing myself.
Look no hands.
Time to move on as we need to get around to the other side to make sure we don't miss the tide change.
Paddling along to the next spot.
our ride for the day.
We touch land and get unpacked for the lunch time pick nick on the beach is about to commence.
Toes for those who like the sand on the beach.
The view from the beach.
All those places to explore...one needs a sailboat.
That is where we are going to leave it today. My friend and I got a bit sun drunk on the beach and got up to some antics that will be left unstated...There is more to come in the days ahead. Stay tuned.
