Summer is here in Southeast Asia, and the heat causes many of us to search for the nearest body of water to cool down and play or relax.

šŸŒŠ Aqua Adventures šŸ„

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ’» Week #114 šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’»

June 17th āž”ļø June 24th, 2024

Ā  Ā  Ā Even here in the tops of the Cardamom Mountains in Cambodia the heat reaches us in summer. Luckily our heat isn't comparable to the rest of the country, and we have a whitewater river as a backyard. I would like to see the bodies of water where you ASEAN Hivers are escaping the heat this summer, and you can even make your own body of water at home with an inflatable pool, haha. The rules are flexible as always, and if you're creative you could even feature your rainwater barrel and how you do a quick splash to cool down.

Ā  Ā  Ā Whether in the middle of the city, remote ricefields, or even the mountains, we all use water to cool down in some form, so show me how you do it ASEAN Hivers. For those of you living in the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, and Malaysia, the sea or some body of water is never far, shame Cambodia has very few islands and a small coast. Alright, I think that explains the challenge clearly enough, let's keep moving.

Week #113 ASEAN Hive Challenge Winners
šŸ§‹ How Do You Like Your Coffee? ā˜•

Ā  Ā  Ā This challenge certainly proved how popular coffee is in this part of the world, and I was surprised to see many of you drinking old-fashioned hot coffee. Iced coffee is far more popular here in Cambodia and Thailand, certainly among the younger generation, and I can understand this due to the hot climate. However, coffee used to be a part of my morning work ritual in the USA, so if I have coffee this is the way I prefer it, hot and in the morning. Please have a look and explore any of our three winning posts, they are all worthy of your caffeinated consideration.

Entry #113: Coffee In Any Way Makes My Day!
by: @sarimanok

I slept the whole afternoon because I took meds (citirizine) for anti allergy since I was itching all over. I guess it was something I've eaten. Anti allergy meds makes one groggy so never take one when you're driving to avoid mishaps! I was still dizzy when I woke up but feel so relaxed. It makes your body rest. My body seems tensed after several nights of sleepless nights since I needed to finish my job as a researcher of one of my valued clients. Coffee is the key guys! It keeps your nerves steady!

It's coffee time in a sunny day! The heat of the sun this month reaches the most hottest weather without air. Its humid and not a good time for coffee. But the theme now is about coffee. I want to share with you how I made coffee for my boss. It has a bog difference compared to the coffee in my homeland with my grandfather and mother coffee addicted person. When I was in the Philippines, I was not drinking any coffee or any chocolate drink made by my grandfather from our organic native cacao.

Asean Hive Community Challenge #113 - How Do You Like Your Coffee?
by: @jurich60

Hello everybody, I liked my coffee with ice, lots lots of ice or can be a coffee shake. Last May 29 we travel again because I need to pay our light and water bill. After I paid our water bill, when I saw the nice balloons at the water district office, I told my grandson to take my picture. After paying the bills it was still early hubby don't like to go home yet, so my son, our driver suggest that hubby taste the strong coffee offered by Cafe Selva and he aggreed. We travel from Carcar City to Talamban, Cebu City.

Thanks for joining my friend.

Thanks for joining, looks like Nemo has been found.

That's a cool challenge. Water's the best way to beat the heat. I'd love to see how creative everyone gets with their summer escapes, whether it's a river, sea, or just a backyard pool, hehehe as always love to see everything from Asean Hive !WINE

My family and I like swimming in the creek behind our house, but because we are nearly on top of a mountain, in only one hour our little creek can range from ankle deep to a gushing torrent of chocolate milk with full of broken tree limbs.

wow this is very intense man, I hope you guys stay safe though

Wow! Thank you so much and to the other winners as well! Cheers!

šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

The rains here have made our river too dangerous for swimming lately. Thanks for joining.

I think I can participate in this new challenge and will compose tomorrow.

Lovely photo edits in your entry. The ocean is so near to me here in Cambodia, but Thailand occupies the super thin stretch of coastline near us, and the border crossing is not an international one yet.

The water looks really clean and clear there.
