Good day, Hivers. I hope everyone is well and having a fantastic weekend. Because I wasn't off today, I took the opportunity to dig into the kitchen to look for our kitchen tools without getting disturbed. Ma'am went to church and will be back at lunchtime, which means I will have enough time to take photos😁. I was looking through the kitchen to participate in the @aseanhive challenge about tools. I found a lot of tools in the kitchen that we used for cooking and baking.
Different knives have different purposes. Some are for cutting veggies and fruits—the chopper I used to chop meats like chicken and pork. I also use it to chop chili if I'm making chili sauce. It's easy to chop it using choppers for its sharpness and weight, making it easy to cut into finer ones. Though you must be extra careful when using it. The chopper is the one that I don't like to see lurking around the kitchen. It's sharp and scary. Even going to the supermarket, I avoid going to the tools section where sharp bladed weapons are displayed. After using it, I would wash it immediately. Dry it and keep it.
Here's the grater.
We used it to grate cheese. Sometimes, I also grate boiled eggs. The microplane is great for zesting citrus, which we use when we make orange cake. It can also be used to grate hard cheese.
The wine opener, can opener, and ice cream scoop.
I never see them use the wine opener or drink any wine, but I secretly used it when my friend and I drank wine before😬. We often use the can opener, and of course, the ice cream scoop is always present whenever they have ice cream for desserts.
Grinder or blender.
It comes with multiple blades. It can serve its purpose, be it blending or grinding. I often use it to grind chili sauce. Sometimes, even sugar and salt are used to make it finer.
This is one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. The electric hand mixer.
It can be used for many different tasks in the kitchen. We mainly used it for mixing, whipping, and baking. One time, she also used it to make whipped cream. My boss is an expert in using this hand mixer.
I tried one time, but I could not control it. I ended up splashing flour everywhere😐. You should exert effort to get the desired results. Hold it steadily. Otherwise, you will splash the batter everywhere. However, it can be tiring in your hands if you use it longer. We just bake simple and fast ones to avoid making her hands tired.
We use the whisk for simple mixings, like carrot cupcakes, for which we don't need the hand mixer. She just mixes and combines the ingredients using the whisk, and she can make a tasty carrot cake😁.
All these tools are helpful for my daily life and make work easier for me.
That's all for today, guys. See you around♥️.
