Every once in a while I would crave for noodles. Whenever I watch those mukbang videos it makes my cravings increase to the highest level. I'm amazed at how they can eat those large quantities of noodles and a lot more food. Though my boss warned me against eating instant noodles, she said it is not good for the body and has a lot of preservatives, i still manage to eat it once in a while. Whenever she's not around or busy with other things. There are times that I would eat the noodles while watching those mukbang to add to my appetite but still I struggle to finish one pack of it😌. There are times that I would partner it with rice😬. We used to eat like that in my country. Always eat with rice, that's why, when I eat the noodles alone, I'm not satisfied sometimes that I need rice to fill my stomach. Whether it's a dried one or the one with the soup. She also eats noodles but not instant one, or if it's instant noodles, she doesn't put the seasoning that comes with the pack, she makes her own seasoning😁. That's when I saw this challenge about noodles I was happy to join😁. Today I made the noodles for her liking.
I cut all the ingredients, including the fish. I seasoned the fish with a bit of salt, soy sauce, sesame oil or white pepper and rolled it in cornstarch to avoid the oil from splashing to me. I'm always scared of oil burn, one thing I don't like in cooking is frying. Oil splashing everywhere. After I pan fry the fish I set it aside to start cooking the noodles. After stir frying all the ingredients I again add the fish and put the noodles last. The noodles I boil first in a separate pot until it softens before I add it last.
I just seasoned it with salt, oyster sauce and the fried fish add flavors to it.
If you ask me how it taste, well it's ok, never mind, just eat. For I'm not born to be a chef, and I guess will never be😜.
That night my boss also made other noodles for dinner. It's a simple one yet I liked how it tasted.
She makes her own seasoning. We boil the noodles in separate pot and when it's ready, we put it directly in the plate where the sauce was already mixed. Make shallot oil and sprinkle some spring onion on top. She mixes the dark soy sauce and rice soya sauce for the flavor and make the colour dark. It's ready to serve. Fast and simple. It tastes light but good. She can cook better done me I guess. She have a lot of ideas on how to make it better.
I serve it with soup and boil some veggies to put on its side. I boil the chye sim vegetable. We make the pork stew earlier to pair with it.
