Hello Hive friends! It's me again @ayen0001. This time I'm gonna share with you the snippets on how we celebrated the Valentines.
Valentine's Day is often associated with romantic getaways but for our family, it's the celebration of love and togetherness in the comfort of our home.

This year we decided to keep things simple and meaningful. We spent the day cooking up in the kitchen preparing a feast for tonight’s celebration
My mother cooked one of her specialties which is the caldereta, she cooked it extra special as I requested her to put more cheese to make it rich and savory. Oh! how I loved my Mom's caldereta.. In every occasion we make sure that it is always on our menu. Another dish was the fried tilapia which is one of the most popular fish here in the Philippines. Added to the food was our all-time favorite juicy fried longanisa and of course, we never forget our home-made atchara (it is the most popular side dish here in the Philippines, the main ingredient of it are papaya, carrots and vinegar, one day, I'll show you how we made it) that adds a sweet and tangy touch to any meal. We shared our food that night through a boodle fight where we all ate with our hands.
Our simple celebration got even more special because our son, with his generous heart, he came home from school and surprised us with chocolates - Oh! my sweet boy! A sweet reminder that Valentine's Day is a time to show appreciation and gratitude for the people we love.
After dinner, we decided to keep the celebration going with a night of games and bonding. We played random games, enjoying each other's company and creating new memories together while sitting in the comfort of our bed. Thankful that my son purposely captured that moment on his phone so we'll have a memory to look back on the coming years. It was a night filled with laughter, excitement and we felt so much love. I can say that my heart was full during that night.
As I look back on our Valentine's Day celebration, I’m reminded that it’s the simple things in life that truly matter. It's not about grand gestures or expensive gifts, but the love, care and attention we show to each other. Our Valentine's Day may have been simple but it was filled with love, laughter and a deep sense of connection. It was a reminder that family is the greatest gift of all and that every moment we spend together is a treasure to cherish.
That's all for now Hive friends. Thank you for taking time to read my blog. I still have so much to share so wait for that. Thank you so much.
How about you? How did you spend your Valentines?
I would love to know about it.
