Wednesday Walk - Visiting The Cemetery

in #hive-1413592 months ago

The cemetery in the province is located in slope of the hillside. There is a graveyard for the Catholic and and for the none Catholic. I heard a story from my Aunt that during the death of our grandmother they pay 28 thousand pesos for the burial site. I was shocked for nothing is free in this world even a dead person has no place to the final rest if we don't have enough money. How the poorest person when they return to our Creator? God gave us the land but we are no longer allowed if we have no money.

The government gave notice to all dead bodies long time ago to be transferred to the concreted rectangular box in 5 layer. Every tomb, we rent 10kPH for 10 years for the bones that would be collected from the old cemetery. They are going to clean and demolish. Those who want to take the bones of their beloved ones, we have to transfer the bones of 5 cadaver into one tomb. After 10 years, if we don't have money to rent for another 10years, they will throw away those bones inside and let other rent for it.

Then, the preservation of the dead(embalming)person and coffin, we pay 45kPH. How expensive spending money to a dead person now even in the province. I just laughed when my Aunt narrated the story during our visit to the cemetery.

New tombs for rent. Our family members who return to God are already here.

After visiting their tomb, we had our snacks and it was also in high rate compared to what we had in the city of our place.

*These acacia tree are 100 years ago planted by the old people. It looked new after it was devastated by strong winds and typhoon. The old trunks and leaves were down and these are new leaves arises.

We visited the tomb of my great-grandmother whom I met during my younger years. I am so lucky that I was already 25 years old during her death. After seven months from her death, I got my first baby girl. She didn't see my daughter but my other maternal grandmother met my kids.

This is my throwback #wednesdaywalk for @tattoodjay, #hiveph and @asean.hive community members.

True. It's too expensive to be burried.

There is even expense at the very last moment. Yes, nothing is free.

Yeah man... it's just another business nowadays, in my country too and it's why I personally don't choose to be buried because I don't want to let my children have to choose to 'throw me away' after 10 years or pay a lot of money.
Even the funeral ceremony is expensive so here it's normal we have a insurance we pay every month a small fee so the insurance company will cover all expenses to a maximum you can define yourself.
After the ceremony we have a family gathering with coffee and cake, it's just criminal what the funeral company charges for that, about €2 for each coffee and €2,50 for every piece of cake, when my father died the bill for coffee, other drinks and cake alone was close to €400 😣

That's terrible situation too. I thought,it's only in our place. That's too much for the cake alone.

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Have a great day :)
