Home Sweet Home 🇵🇭 and what a busy day it was since arriving. These photos were taken last Wednesday and were meant to be posted the next day as I was traveling by bus, from Manila to the province for 8 hours. It would have been mission accomplished if only I remembered to charge my laptop as it died on me whilst on it.
So yeah, started the day by arriving at my college school to sort out my school documents and then continued walking around Espana, Manila. Me and my hub were on a search for a remittance and we started looking around Blumentritt all the way to Maceda. There was none and we eventually gave up as we are already sweating from the sweltering heat. We then took a ride and decided to go to SM Manila as we might find one there. On our way there, as we traverse the underpass, I took a photo of the artistic walls. There were a few, but that one was my fave as I loved the wording too. It was quite welcoming.
Arrived at SM Manila and we kept walking around inside hoping to find a remittance which unfortunately was nowhere to be found. We only have two hours left as I have an appointment for my graduation photo. We then asked around and the guard told us there is one outside behind the LRT (Light Rail Transit). We did manage to finally get our cash. YAY!
We then head to the Photo studio and even with the appointment wet with them, I still have to wait for my turn. The lady at the counter said it might take a while and so my hub then asked if its ok to go eat out first which the lady replied to him with a yes. Since neither of us is familiar with the area, we simply walked around till we found Dylan Patisserie. Hub was initially hesitant since it appeared that the only food options were bread and cakes, and he wanted a big meal—with rice, of course. LOL. I keep making fun of him for being so big already, but he doesn't care. Sigh. As we sat and looked at the meal he was so happy seeing the choices. To start with, I ordered a Crispy Fried Mozzarella for an appetizer. Hub then ordered Crispy Porchetta which consists of a broiled pork belly, sauteed veggies, Garlic rice with Spiced Vinegar and I had Pork Belly Carbonara. It was quite pricey, but once we had a taste of what we ordered, it was definitely worth it. For dessert, I debated trying their cakes but decided against it. I have to cut down on my sugar as I already had loads the other day. I just had coke zero instead. But yeah, If given a chance and be around the area I will definitely try their pastries!
I caught up with a few of my close friends who lived in Manila to wrap up the day. Since Talabar Kitchen & Cafe is somehow nearby to where we are at that moment, we all agreed to meet there. Even though it wasn't planned, I'm happy that they made the effort to come despite their hectic schedules at work and in their personal life. It was a great night with amazing drinks and food. Also, I had the chance to have a photo with Vice Ganda, a well-known comedian, host, and celebrity.
To end the day, a few of my close friends who were based in Manila and I met up. It was unplanned but I am very pleased as they made sure to come despite their busyness with work and their lives itself. It was a superb night with good food and drinks. I also got a chance to have a photo with Vice Ganda, a famous comedian, host, and celebrity.
Ending it here for now. Thank you for reading and see you around!
