Happy Belated Father's Day to all the dads on HIVE! How did you celebrate this special day? Our family celebrated it with a group of friends from church. Since it was a Sunday, we thought it would be a great opportunity to celebrate together as a group.
Our gathering included more than 20 people, although only two dads were present: my husband and another friend. The rest of the group was made up of single mothers and their teenage kids. Despite the small number of dads, the celebration was vibrant and joyful. The focus was on enjoying each other's company and having fun as a group.
We planned our group gathering a week before Father's Day. The plan was to have lunch together and then head to a nearby karaoke bar. Although I'm not a fan of karaoke, many in the group, including my husband, love to sing, so I didn't mind at all.
Right after the church service, we went to ISE-K Karaoke and Bar Restaurant at Taman Connaught, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, for lunch. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos because we were too hungry to think about it. Despite that, the experience was delightful and filled with laughter and music.

The restaurant is inspired by the Harry Potter series, and its ambiance resembles the dining hall of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! The fancy chandeliers, inspired by the floating candles in Hogwarts' dining hall, add a magical touch to the setting.
The best part is that the restaurant offers patrons the chance to experience being a witch or wizard. You can don a Hogwarts robe, complete with a pointy hat and a wand, immersing yourself fully in the magical world, albeit temporarily.
We thought it would be fun to dress up as a family of witches and wizards and take some photos. It might seem a bit tacky, but life is short, so why not embrace the fun and create lasting memories? I'm sure the kids will cherish this moment for years to come.

After taking our photos as witches and wizards, we headed straight to the karaoke bar. Everyone selected a song and took turns belting out their tunes.
My husband sang a few songs, including one by the 70s Eurodisco group Boney M. Can you guess which one? Of course, it was "Daddy Cool" to celebrate Father's Day. He even danced while singing! 🤣
After spending three hours at the karaoke bar, we headed home around 5pm. Despite feeling tired, the highlight was celebrating the fathers in our group over lunch and enjoying our time at the karaoke bar.
