A friend of mine told me about this ocean sanctuary and that we can snorkling for free. My daughter and I love snorkling, it's one of our favorite things even sometimes we've got sunburn. So one day we fixed a schedule for scuba diving early in the morning so to witness the sunrise and see those beautiful corals and fishes.
The Dauin Marine Sanctuary is a great place to snorkel, scuba dives. We secured our own snorkel gear so we don't need to pay equipement rentals.
Upon arrival, there were diving boats and few scuba divers in the water. We were swimming out following the scuba divers and found a lot of corals in this marine sanctuary and because the water was clean and clear and not too deep we were able to see many fish up close and in vibrant colors.
Swimming can make us super hungry, we had fruits; mangoes, bananas and apples. We bought these on our way since there were lots of farmer's market on road side every Sunday morning, that's the usual in the provinces. We don't use to eat heavy meals in the morning though, as long as we have coffee and fruit then we're good! We were also planning to have our lunch in one of the restaurant situated in the mountain which is still part of Dauin. We heard they serve god pasta. So this fruits are enough to sustain us to get through the morning.
I really wish we had a GoPro so I could show you what it’s like to experienced a ton of different colored coral and thousands of tropical fish. The colored in this photo is not giving fine justice. in actual the colors are vibrant in spots.
My daughter really enjoyed exploring the water world. She even feed rice to the fish and that made the fish swimming so closed and all around her. I was so astonished that I started doing same. I made the fish ate on my palm.
You can't beleive this, We just walked into the water and the coral reef is right off the shoreline. The beauty of the corals and the fish! Heaven! Fish are everywhere and not afraid of us. I saw black and white angel fish, red and orange striped clown fish, blue green parrot fish .Fish are of every colors and sizes. There were coral formations of shapes, sizes and colors too. The corals are alive and consists of all these different species that use their tentacles to feed on tiny fish or plankton. It also serves as home for a variety of fish in the ocean. We noticed some of the scuba divers were swimming away towards deeper water, for sure they have the advantage to find more coral formations there. I have gone to few places where I scuba dive. But this one here is quite impressive and tthe best amongst, another level of great experienced.
My daughter doesn't want to came out from the water. She found a clown fish that never leave its home, she called them "Nemos" I have to promised her for a sure-come-back just to get het out from there.
I took a little walked while the others were in the shower and dressing room, I found this adorable dog, she kept following me as I walked if we were long lost friend. I paused and told her we will have selfie so that I could remember her and that I wanted to see her again when I come back.Such a good girl, she also sat down as if she understood. Thanks for the friendhsip buddy!
