What's up, everyone? Last time, I shared with you how we celebrated our New Year's Celebration. I was away after New Year's Day since someone in our group chat invited us to a resort after two years of not experiencing it. Yeah, you heard it right. It's been two years passed since I encountered swimming in pools. Therefore, I'm excited to share with you what happened during our memorable bonding. Without further ado, let's get started.
Before heading to the resort, my parents opted to visit my grandparents. The resort is only within walking distance, and we stayed here to help them prepare food. Whether I like it or not, I don't have a choice but to go along with the reunion since I know I won't escape their criticisms. My elder relatives are experts in creating judgments since they are popularly known as "Marites."
The venue is only within walking distance, but I still decided to ride in our cousin's tricycle to save effort. Here is the entrance of Puting Lupa or White Soil in English Translation. As far as I know, this is a private resort where you can rent them to celebrate your family reunion, birthday celebration, and other exquisite events.
If you're planning to view the entrance, here is what you should expect. There's a huge parking lot available for guests' cars and another space you can allot for outdoor activities. I don't know the original purpose since we haven't used them.
While exploring the view, this eye-catching landscape caught my interest, and I was stunned after I witnessed those cute red and orange fishes swimming on the water's surface. I want to post it on my Instagram feed, but I promised I would only post my photos here. This attraction added more to the resort's beauty, which I hope you can check soon once you get a chance to visit our location.
After strolling for a minute, I finally get closer to the main view. Here is the place where they handled the event. I'm not familiar with my other cousins because we're not close. My long-distance relatives prepared everything starting from the karaoke, delicious foods from middle-class families, and many more.
Meanwhile, while waiting on the program, I decided to help my close cousins to attach decorations to the tarp. It was a bit hassle since those naughty toddlers in our location liked to play with the balloons we prepared. But since they are only kids, we decided to adjust to their unpretty behavior.
Finally, the program started when other visitors found that we were almost present. My father decided to stay inside rather than interact with others since he struggled to walk after his stroke. As you see, our clan wears the same shirt we wore at our Christmas reunion, representing our bond.
Before I forget, here's a photo of their pool. It looks dirty at first glance, but one of my cousins shared that the green part is the floor's color. I remember those kids annoyed their parents because they already wanted to swim with their new friends. My sibling is one of those kids who aggravate their parents since she can't wait.
I asked my cousins their thoughts during the reunion, and most of them said it was boring. I couldn't agree more, though. Since we are not yet familiar with each other, the speaker requested the son and daughters of my grandfather on my mother's side to introduce ourselves per family. I am on the right part, and I think it would look better if we were complete.
Our reunion wouldn't be complete if we will not take a photo together. Since technology has become a necessity, it's not already a brand new thing to collect memories through taking pictures. That sign doesn't include any politics for those readers who might misunderstand it.
After waiting centuries, it's already time to eat. I only ate bread and coffee, so I was hungry. I feel guilty since I didn't take away the opportunity to taste different foods I only eat once in a blue moon. I forgot to capture my plate, but I ate high in fats and protein foods like fish, longganisa, adobo, lumpia, rice, etc. Besides that, I also drank a lot of colas and temporarily forgot that I was on my diet.
About the games that they prepared, I would say that it is boring. I enjoyed watching them, but my other cousins and I decided not to participate. Maybe it's because we are not close to our other cousins. One of our relatives organized a raffle and giveaways, but it looks like the elders only had fun. I remember my sibling complained when he won a big plate from the raffle. Meanwhile, my cousin was ungrateful since he received cotton buds. We didn't say we're ungrateful, but I only want to say that their prizes are not good for all ages.
Before we end this blog, let me share our picture with my cousins. I'm already excited to dive, but my mother told me to participate in their games and picture taking. I'm the guy on the right side making a peace sign for those curious about where I am.
