My Prescious Gems; The Happiest Day of My Life! (Part 2) ❤️

in #hive-1413593 years ago

"Today is the day!" as I read on my alarm's description. As early as 6:00 AM Sunday, February 20, 2022 I woke up with the biggest smile on my face. Allow me to share with you all the whole preparation and how my day went.

February 19, 2022; The Preparation✨

This occassion would look odd without some colors to brighten the celebration. So I bought balloons in 5 different colors. Gold, yellow, black, white and silver. I chose these colors, specially the gold one because it represents the 50 years of existence since my parents are both 50+ age now.

I also bought some foil curtains and a happy birthday banner. Thanks to tiktok and some tips from @Gerel during the Hive Christmas Party, I learned something about what to do so that the balloons won't easily explode. Aside from that, I also bought red cups, paper plates, paper holders, and plastic spoons and forks ahead at Carbon for an affordable prices. This market truly is a big savior for my budget.

Me and my mother went to the market in our province to buy ingredients for fruit salad, spaghetti and for my delicious special Lumpiang Shanghai. We also bought drinks ahead and cups for fruit salad. Almost everything is complete! I can't wait to checked them all (I'm totally excited but nervous in this part).

On my last blog entitled Prescious Gems; Celebrating life (Part 1), I mentioned about my gift for my father which is to buy him a brandnew motorcycle. I'm happy and proud to share that we finally got it hivers! After a very busy week of processing and submitting the requirements, he finally got his first owned motorcycle just before the big day in which he doesn't have the idea of what's going to happen except for my mom.

Just look at how my father's face lighten up, a face full of happiness even though he was wearing a mask on that day. I know and I can feel how long he has been waiting to have his own motorcycle.

Because 3 yrs ago, my mother bought a second hand motorcycle which we did'nt know that it was all defective already and unrenewed before my mother paid for it. My parents really got upset because they both felt fooled and lied for being mis-informed about the real reason behind why it was on sale, and the worst part was, they bought it from their closest friend at work. From that then, my mother stopped believing that one day, my father would have his own motorcycle and just prioritize our needs. Honestly,I was never a fan of this 2 wheel vehicle not until I realized and saw how hard it is for my father in terms of transportation. Also in delivering our orders to our customers. I guess, the situation left me no choice but to completely trust my father to drive safely, a very tough and deep prayers every day for those he will be encountering on the road.

February 20, 2022; The Big Day!🎉

We started our day by attending the morning mass. All of us woke up early to catch the 8AM PH time mass schedule and in order for me to start decorating our front yard and to pick-up the tables and chairs. After the mass, we were surprised especially for both of my parents when the priest announced that he will bless all married couples as the renewal of their vows.

They've been married for 27 years (like my age) and counting which I am so proud of.

Few hours after, I got busy finishing what needs to be done. Thankfully, with some help of my cousins and brother, we were able to finish everything before the time.

We just feel so ecstatic the whole time of decorating. We were really enjoying what were doing since we still have more time. No pressure.

And when the foods arrived, it was even more perfect! 😍 I can't really contain my happiness in this photo.

When everything is complete, its time for group photos! This was also the time that my father realized that the party is for both of them because of the number balloons above (represents their age). I succedded! He was indeed surprised! The big smile can tell.😍😂

But the surprise didn't end there. I also surprised my mother by giving her a boquet of flowers. I asked my brother to hand it to her. It was actually the first time that she received a boquet of flower from us that's why she almost teared up in these photos.

Overall, my plan turned out very well. In fact, it exceeded my original plan. Everyone enjoyed the food. They were happy but I am the happiest because I was able to surprise both of the celebrants and made their birthdays a meaning and simple yet a very special one. Personally, the occassion was an achievement for me as the eldest, my long time dream, and a wish to give them a very meaningful party which is only for them after all the sacrifices they did for the family, I'm not quite sure if this is enough nevertheless, I will always make them feel loved and give them what they deserve because they both are worth of these and many more in the future.

Thank God for everything.✨🙏❤️
