Hello everybody,
I do love this theme challenge this week, thanks much @justinparke, here I share what I planted, harvested and put on our table.
One, are the red alugbati vegetables or Malabar Spinach I planted in containers.
After a month of planting big leaves appeared, I harvested them and make them as salad, raw just mixed with "buwad bolinao" or dried anchovies cooked in oil, chopped red onions and cold tomatoes, small amount of lemon juice, a drizzle of olive oil, salt and black pepper to taste. Wallah! Instant salad on the table.I am sure you have not tasted this!
Next, are the Gynura Procumbens or Longetivy Spinach or leaves of the gods or Diabetes Plant, "Sabungai" in Tagalog, I also planted in containers.
I just prepared sardines cooked with scrambled eggs, then wrapped, with the Gynura Procumbens leaves I harvested.
Sardines are processed foods it will be a healthy food combined with raw Gynura leaves which our family eat since 2012.
Next are our Papaya plants planted all around inside our fence, but the birds planted them they just grow and were shock that the fruits are so sweet.
Since the fruits are many I made them as papaya ice cream.
I just prepared creamer, butter and vanilla no need adding sugar they are too sweet like sugar.
Then place inside the freezer, after 5
hours, I just give hubby one cup and I devoured it all, hahaha, hubby ask for more but turn him down because of his diabetes. Super yummy papaya fruit and thankful for the birds for their pollination skills.
Thanks for dropping by...
