I am almost certain that most hoo-mans think their cat is the cutest and smartest, but in my case it's different because this is actually true.
📿 Morning Mediation Session 🧘♀️
My cat is somehow a devout Buddhist and yet a die-hard communist the same time. She dispenses cuddles fairly and claims souls without malice, choosing to be as vegan as a cat can be without dying, loving her seaweed, grilled corn, and potato chips as much as whole gecko, crickets, and shrew heads. Whether it be the morning sun or a hot battery, she is able to align her chakras without ever having been to India or even knowing what a chakra is.
ChairWoman Meow stands on top of my wife's chest at 5:40 AM every morning, looking down at me, usually meowing until I wake up, get out of bed, and fill her bowl full with a brand of Cambodian seaweed potato chips known as "Midass," surely an English misspelling of Midas, because the logo contains a crown and on the cover of the chips is one of the Cambodian royal family members. Anyways, back to the subject matter at hand, Meow usually aligns her chakras in various locations throughout the morning after her chip breakfast, the amount of chips eaten corresponds to how successful the previous night's hunt was.
😴 Paws Out For Maximum Comfort 🐾
Often times when I begin my morning computer work, ChairWoman Meow is somewhere to be found nearby, either napping on the floor or the bed depending on the chakra situation. I once thought my chakras were misaligned, but luckily for me it was merely a little heartburn, easily solved by not putting a handful of chilies in everything I eat. She is usually missing in action most nights on hunting expeditions, but she engages her domestic side when she comes indoors.
🛵 Grocery Run To Pramaoy 🛍️
Sometimes I have to leave my kitty behind and buy groceries down the mountain. I took this trip to Pramaoy with my wife just before she had to leave again for a few days due to attend a family member's funeral. We decided to get our daughters some simple water guns in hopes they would spend a little more time outdoors, and we stopped for a short picnic before heading back up the mountain with a load nearly to my chest.
😼 Exploring & Grilling With Meow 🌽
After my wife left town I went to the neighbor's shop to say hi and get a soymilk, and for some reason ChairWoman Meow showed interest in following me. I carried her to the neighbor's house and put her on the ground to explore while I bought my stuff. She had a bit of a standoff with the rooster, but I was proud of her for standing her ground and being more confident.
That night I asked the girls if they wanted to make a fire on s a school night, and of course they said yes. There is rarely a time when we make a fire and don't cook something like poppadums, sweet potatoes, or corn. In this case we had abundance of Meow's favorite food, freshly grilled corn, something she is willing to scorch her eyebrows for in order to get a cob off the grill. I am not kidding, Meow tends to destroy her mouth if she eats from the cob, so I asked Srey-Yuu to cut the corn off the cob and put it on a plank of wood for her to enjoy. Just a normal night in Cambodia grilling corn for a cat yo'!
Sorry for not being Hive-active lately, but I've got ASEAN Hive duties and my wife has been both not in good health lately and also on the road a lot. This has left me busy with dad stuff like cooking, shopping, etc., but I hope this week things return to normal and I get back to posting and reading.
