Happy Monday Hivers!
Have you noticed that there are simple things in life that make you feel relaxed when you are upset? Even very simple things like cutting nails or taking a shower—have you experienced that?
Something upset me two days ago, greatly affecting my sleep. I managed to sleep around 2 AM but woke up very early at 4:47 AM.
Since it was Sunday, I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. When the clock struck 6 AM, I got up and decided not to dwell on things I can't control, as I didn't want to be enveloped by negativity. However, I'd be a hypocrite if I said I never let my emotions affect me.
Instead of locking myself up in the room, I got up and fixed myself. I cut my nails first and took a shower before going outside the house and just staying in the garden.
Spending time in a place like this doesn't cost us anything, but it greatly helps us calm down and relax. The scenic view of the city, the different cloud formations, and the greenery helped me gradually shift my emotions for the better. I'm sure you've experienced that too.
I went inside after savoring the view and the serenity. I cleaned the house. I don't know if you've also experienced this, but for me, cleaning the house is therapeutic.
Even in the simplicity of things, they still help us calm down and relax when things don't go as planned—like a simple act of nail cutting. I felt better after doing those simple things yesterday. We don't have to underestimate the importance of simple things; they still matter.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
