Happy Valentines Day Hivers!
The memory of onboarding the ship for Dumaguete is still vivid, and that was a year ago. I remember feeling a little anxious as I didn't have any family, relatives, or friends here. My intention was to travel and explore the place as the city is well-known for its friendly and hospitable people, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, and beautiful natural attractions.
The time when I decided to travel, I felt exhausted defending myself, so I ran away from the people who devalued my worth. I never thought that the place would help me heal my wounded heart.
The nature inspired me to keep going. Despite no one caring, the wild grasses, flowers, and trees in the forest were surviving. Like them, I too can survive the hardships that life has given me as long as I don't quit.
"I am strong" was my mantra. I am strong like the current of the water that can erode the toughest rocks and shape the landscape around it. I am strong enough to conquer the toughest problems that I've encountered.
Did I cry? Yes, I cried every day. I cried out loud until all my tears were gone. Like a river, I let it flow, even to the point of losing strength.
Until one day, I started to see the light, even if it wasn't the brightest. But I grasped onto it because I believe it would eventually lead me to the things I am searching for.
The time I fully accepted failures, rejections, and pain was the time life became easier to handle. Things gradually changed, and life started to favor me.
Although I am not fully healed yet, I am on the road to healing. I know that the time will come when I can forgive the people who caused so much pain in me, even if they are not asking for forgiveness.
And now, I have found my happiness and a new home in Dumaguete. The place that gives me so much inspiration and helps me to become better.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

It is one of the best, so follow me as I will be featuring my experiences of the stuff that I am passionate with.
