Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. The district where my family and I live is close to Myanmar. The distance from our house to the Thailand and Myanmar border is about 30 kilometers. But most of the border of the 2 countries in our district is a mountainous area. There is a place in our district which is a Thailand and Myanmar border area on mountain. And it is also a tourist attraction in our district. This place is Ban Nor-Lae the border of Thailand and Myanmar. It is located on a high mountain in Mon Pin Subdistrict. This location is the area of a military base and there is the hill tribe community living near the military base and border.
This trip, I took wife, wife's mother and granddaughter to this place. We went to Ban Nor-Lae the border of Thailand and Myanmar at the early January. We had to travel on rural roads and mountain roads. We passed local Thai villages, hill tribe villages and several Yunnan Chinese villages. It was a foggy winter morning at that time. But around 8:00 a.m. there was not much fog.

Military base area at Ban Nor-Lae the border of Thailand and Myanmar, there are boundary between the two countries is marked by the barbed wire. And the Thai border area has bunkers. The Myanmar border is a mountainous area with no communities, but there is a military base in the distance.
The highlight of this place is the beautiful nature and good atmosphere on the Thailand border area and Myanmar border area. Especially the Myanmar border which has beautiful mountain views.

Outside the area of the military base there is a small market of hilltribe people. And there is also a small buddha image hall (viharn). But we had limited time so we didn't get to visit.
