In the city of Bintulu, there is a hidden park. It's always wonderful to have a park in the middle of the city so we can when we are stressed out head to a park nearby and fly the drone. Yes, Usually, I do that. I will attach some drone shots in the last part of the post.
Bintulu is the port city of Sarawak. A lot of industries are located here especially companies from Japan, Korea and many multi national companies have set up shop here.
Parkcity Bintulu Cultural Park
This is the Bintulu Corridor of development - on the walls of this corridor are scenes showing buildings in Bintulu that have created Bintulu to what it is today.
Opposite of this park is a huge open-air shopping mall
A great place to have a nice stroll in the evening. The park is quite clean and safe looking. There were some Indian tourist doing their TikTok video while I was here.
The history of the park is written here in the local Malaysian language and in Chinese characters.
The evening is a beautiful moment in the day. The skies usually turn orange.
The fountain in the park
The resting station
There are many 'pondok' or resting areas here around the park. Some of these I guess serve as temporary homes for those homeless people here. In Sarawak, the homeless crisis is at a minimal. It is not easy to spot a homeless person here.
I saw this area with cardboard on the floors. The stone below shows the different tribes of Sarawak.
There was a corner at the park that had some beds here that were used by homeless people.
That mattress looks quite soiled.
Imagine sleeping on that.
View of Bintulu from high up in the sky
The city area in the evening. The city is peaceful and calm.
Far away on the horizon is the new Bintulu bridge. It is modeled after the Golden Gate Bridge of America.
A calm city in the evening.
Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a wonderful day ahead.
