Alarm buzzing. Switched on the lights. Early in the morning, my eyes were barely opened. I had to gather enough energy to get myself up.
I had a great night sleep. It was time to get back to Sarawak. The morning 🌅 sun had not risen yet. It was still dark.
The room with its dark paint makes the room even darker. Some towels hanging on the rack.
The luggage 🧳 still on the floor. The most important thing to do usually is to double check everything before heading to the airport.
The room was dark in colour so it was very important to double check everything before heading back.
Our luggages
That was how much luggage we brought along for this particular trip.
The backpack.
I checked everything and made sure to have everything with me before checking out of the hotel.
I usually clean up everything before I check out of the hotel. I guess that's just a habit of mine.
Last photo snapped before heading to the airport.
Got a car and headed to the airport. It took quite a while before getting a car on the e-hailing app.
Finally arrived at the airport. I was still half asleep. It was 6am. Still early.
There were already a crowd of people at the checkin. This is what the Penang international airport looks like.
The different counters were all full. Everyone was queueing up.
My wife and that morning look.
Spacious interior clean area. The best types of airports are the types that have spacious walkways.
After a while, we got our luggages checked in. There were no shops that had opened that early in the morning. So, what we were to do was just to wait till we boarded the plane.
Just a couple of days ago, when I arrived at this airport at ten at night, it was full of people. It was not occupied at this point of time.
It was time to board the plane. Got our backpack and walked towards the gate and waited for boarding. There was a lot of people in front all with their tickets ready for boarding. Everyone queued neatly.
Starbucks was already opened for business. The best thing to do early in the morning was to have a cup of hot coffee just to get some caffeine in my system.
We then took a picture together and as I looked outside, the plane was already there waiting for passengers.
The best view is definitely that of the plane as it waits for everyone.
I was sitting excited to board the plane and see it take off. I had the windows seat. I managed to snap lots of photos up in the skies above Penang. It was a two hour flight back to Sarawak.
The next post is going to be in Kuching. Close to the last post for this whole trip.
Hope you enjoy reading.
