Hi, my friends… one of the best things to do in Brunei with its lush nature and forest reserve is go hiking.
70 percent of Brunei is still covered in forest. The trail here is easy and you do not need any special training to hike here. My mom-in-law hikes here a lot and is quite fit for her age.
In case you do not know much about me, I am Luuee and this is my wife Janice.
Janice posing for a photo. We climbed for around an hour before reaching this path.
Brunei
The little rest area at the start of the hiking trail.
Lots of greenery. One of the best things about hiking here is that there are not many tourists here so you can hike here with peace. Usually, before any hike, the one thing to check is the weather and if it would suddenly rain. If the clouds are dark, usually, it is not a good idea for a hike.
The amazing view here and the wonderful dog here. The dog also knows how to enjoy life. This dog loves to follow us around.
The view of the fertilizer factory here. I took this photo and noticed that on the right side of the picture, it looks like a smiley. Can you spot the smiley here?
This area used to be different. Lots of trees here. But for the last two years, the government had this project where they cut off all the original trees here and have then been replanting them with new plants. So the slopes look quite clean at the moment.
My wife posing for a photo with the Brunei flag behind. There used to be also a biking trail but at the moment, that trail is not there anymore. The whole place has changed.
After hiking, we got home. The view of the field here is beautiful. My mom-in-law loves to keep her compound clean. She has been maintaining all the grass here by herself.
The car park. This car park was rebuilt into a new one as the older one was getting old and many of the parts slowly corroded away.
Most houses in Brunei have their compound.
Thank you very much for reading this post.
Do come and have a wonderful hike in Brunei if you have the chance.
