Hi hi.. How are you? It is another Sunday again. We are already 11 days into the year 2025.
Let's have some claypot rice. The rice is cooked in a clay pot with the meat and other raw ingredients inside. It wasn't easy for me to drive to this place. Some of the roads were still under construction but I was determined to drive to this place to eat a bowl of claypot rice.
The seller who was there that night told me that due to the road closure, her business decreased a lot. I guess I was there to support her business.
Claypot rice
Cooked on a stove at high heat. Claypots are hot. The most important safety measure is not to touch the hot parts of the pot to avoid getting scalded on the fingers.
The outdoor stall.
The clay pot rice is individually cooked upon the customer's order.
The wall of fame - Instead of having murals, this stall has lots of words written here.
What is written are Sarawakian and Malaysian words.
Ngirup Kitai - Let's drink together
Ayam - Chicken
Lembu - Cow
Some of the tables here. Slightly empty due to the road constructions on the main road. The owner of the stall was quite nice and she chatted with us.
Lorong Epal - Epal lot
This is the location of the stall.
The food here was quite warm and the taste amazing. On any cold night after the rain, a bowl of clay pot rice is something to look forward to.
The meat is sliced thin and smoked. These are usually smoked pork made into sausages.
After the meal, it was time to head off to the next stop before getting a good night's rest.
Thank you very much for reading my post. It is the 11th day of 2025. I am going to start a new resolution this year. I am going to try to write every day.
