Nepal is far away from Brunei but there is one Nepalese restaurant here in Brunei. Gurkha's Palace's mouthwatering dumplings were why I was there. There is a community of Gurkha soldiers living in Brunei so this restaurant caters to this community. The last time I was here, this restaurant was a bit more Nepalese but has been renovated and looks modern. I miss the old Gurkha's Palace. Gurkha’s Palace is a delightful spot that perfectly combines Nepalese hospitality with mouthwatering cuisine. The waitresses here are very patient and are ready to serve. I ordered the food and she asked me to have a sit while waiting.

On the wall hangs a variety of Nepalese-inspired drawings. It's always an authentic experience in different cultures. The waitress is from Nepal.
The signboard outside. There used to be a door here that could only fit one person and a really tiny staircase that only fit one person which was one of the most unique things about this place but has already been renovated.
The menu
Let's order some Momo. They have so many different types of momos. What are momos? Momos are Nepalese dumplings. I did not know what each momo meant so I asked the waitress. The prices of the food are all reasonable. Less than 10 BND. 1 USD = 1 BND.

I think the statue is also placed here for good luck.
Some of the other Nepalese pictures are of different places.
The cozy and authentic
While I was waiting for the momo, I was taken aback by the beautiful lush greens from the window here. Car driving pass by. Brunei is quite a clean place. So after a while my order arrived and I paid. It was affordable. You will see what the momo looks like at the end of this post. I ordered steam momo and fried momo. They are handmade.
More pictures of Nepal
This picture was taken in 2011. Wow. That was a long time ago.
I also ordered a cup of latte
The first floor is for ice cream and coffee. A wonderful cup of coffee to start off the day.
The entrance to the first floor. The modern vibes. It was only a second-storey restaurant but has expanded to an ice cream area on the ground floor.
The location
This is where is it located in case you're interested in visiting this restaurant in the future.
The momo
I ordered take away so this was what it looks like at home. The fried ones are on the right and the steamed ones are on the left.
This is an image of the momo if it was perfectly placed on a plate. Not my pictures, but I got this picture from google just to show you what it looks like if it was made there at the restaurant. The sauce is slightly sour.
That's all for today. I enjoyed eating the momos with my family.
Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a wonderful day.
