The FoodCourt in Sipitang

in #hive-1413597 days ago

Sipitang is a small little town that is located in Sabah. I recently went to Sabah and on my way there, I dropped by this town and visited this foodcourt. This is a famous food court.

The first thing I noticed about this food court is that it is full of people. So many people eating here. It was a bit challenging to find a table. The view from this food court is the South China Sea.

Places with lots of people eating definitely show one thing. It is popular and the food here must be delicious. The food court here is famous for its barbequed meat. There are so many stalls here selling barbequed meat and not only that, you have to wait a while before getting your food here.

The nice waterfront

This is indeed a very nice waterfront area for the family. So clean and there is a lot of food to eat. One thing that I think was kind of weird here was the toilet. More on that later.

Sipitang is the town of the gasing. The Malaysian traditional top. The one you see in Squid Game season 2 but the Malaysian one.

My parents enjoying the food here. These are rice packed into small plastic bags. Not sure how they made these.

Some satay here on a plate. Delicious marinated skewered meat.

The toilet. This was the first time that I had visited a toilet that had a queue and this is one of the most expensive toilets I have ever visited here. There are no standing peeing area and everyone has to get into a toilet with a door. It took a long twenty minutes before getting into the toilet which could have just taken a few seconds.

Lots of Satay

Skewered meat on a stick. Different types of meat and all of them are only RM 1.00 to Rm 1.50. Quite affordable if you ask me. They taste awesome.

The Barbequed Chicken Wing

A must-try if you do visit Sipitang someday. The chicken wing here is flavourful and the best thing about it is that it is affordable for everyone.

Soto ayam - Chicken Soto
A nice noodle bowl with lots of different types of stuff inside. There are lots of chicken balls inside.

Thank you very much for reading this post.

I hope that no one is too late to go to the toilet and then to see the long queue, can't imagine what will happen. hahaha

that seems like a very famous place, considering the place is packed.

Thanks for posting in the ASEAN Hive Community.

Outdoor food courts are convenient places to stop and eat. They offer a wide variety of dishes at a lower cost. It seems that this food court is really popular because it is packed with people. After eating, you can also have a relaxing stroll by the waterfront. I would like to try Soto ayam - Chicken Soto. I am fond of noodle dishes, and they make me feel full easily. It's a complete food for me.
