If you've been following me on my blogs, you already know that I've been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for two years now. The invitation to do so was way back two years ago when my sister invited me to practice with her since she is a certified yoga teacher.
I was not that physically active before but something happened with my health during the pandemic that urged me to do physical activities. I started to do walk-at-home exercises. Then eventually gave in to my sister's invitation to practice yoga.
All my classes with her are virtual. She has an existing yoga studio in Dumaguete City is which an island away from me :D. For two years I managed to join her class virtually except for a time when we went to visit her with my family.
Photos below are from my practice at home.
Aside from my yoga practice, I also do walking. I take the time to walk when sending and picking up our children to school during class days. Their school is just a walking distance from our home. I seldom ride on a tricycle to and fro the school. The walk to the campus is always an uphill walk since it is located in an elevated area.
This is a view from the campus.
I do yoga every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday or depending on my mood to do so. 😀 But these days are the regular schedules.
I tell you these walks and yoga practice are sweaty. 😀
I just had my Annual Physical Exam weeks ago and my medical doctor told me the results were great!
We need to do physical exercises to burn unwanted fats and burn some calories. We don't need to do extraordinary activities to achieve this goal. Simple walking or stair climbing will do.
Thank you for reading and watching. This is my entry for the community's challenge on "How Do You Stay Active?".
Until next time!
