Greetings to you, my dear hivers! I was long gone here, so I am back with another piece of content to share. Today's post will show you what happened to my uncle's birthday celebration.
His birthday party was held at the Bayfront Hotel Capitol Site. We arrived at exactly seven in the evening, and it was announced that the party would start at 8 p.m. When we got there, everything was set, and the setting looked bright and elegant.
I loved the combination of black and gold. I was amused by how neatly the modern design was done.
Nearing 8:00 p.m. Still, guests are not here yet. The fact that it was a Thursday night meant that everyone was arriving straight from work. I'm looking forward to hearing the band sing and hearing what songs they will be playing later as they get ready for their performance.
Me and my dear cousin posed for a photo together in the front. She's taller than me now, I was even wearing heels, but still, I am small next to her.
The celebrant, my uncle, asked us to wear a touch of black casual attire.
We were still waiting for the guests to arrive, the party did not start unless everyone was already around. So my cousin and I went for a stroll, and there we struck a pose in front of the elevator, where there was a huge mirror perfect for taking pictures of our outfits.
This is their roof deck area, where a pool, bar, and dining can be seen. Plenty of guests have arrived, so the party's almost starting.
I feel like swimming already, it would be my first time swimming in a rooftop pool with city lights and a view.
As you can see in the picture, a man is sitting alone, looking lonely. That's my grandfather. We were waiting for the party to get started. I guess Grandpa's hungry already.
I made a quick pose on one of the benches in the pool and took a photo with my mom, grandma, and uncle. I am loving their big round sofa chair. I'd love to make it my bed, perfect for my small size.
My cousin took this, my cheeks were puffy, and I wasn't even eating. I can't hold it against people who say I resemble a chipmunk. I mistakenly believed that my small size and thin voice were to blame, but it was actually my cheeks.
The celebration officially began when the celebrant welcomed all of the guests and led the singing of the happy birthday song before candle-blowing and cake-slicing. The picture was deleted, so I was unable to post it here.
We then started to line up to get food, and since it was getting close to nine o'clock, I assume everyone was starving. I wasn't able to take photos of the other foods as I rushed to get mine because I was very hungry. We had mango and crabstick salad on lettuce, there was also a fruit salad, and the star of the night, aside from the lechon, was my favorite, a mini red velvet cupcake.
After I graduated, I tried alcoholic drinks, which I had never done when I was still studying, and during my uncle's birthday, my dad asked me to try a Martini. I did drink a little and forgot the taste. My mouth was stuffed with fruits and cupcakes the whole night. I lost count of how many times I have gone back to the table to get some mini red velvet cupcakes.
The celebrant, my uncle, who was standing in front holding a microphone, thanked everyone who attended the party. Guests were also called to give a speech for the birthday celebrant. After that, others started to swim in the pool. My first plan was to swim, but I changed my mind as the party finished late because I still have to go to work tomorrow early in the morning.
So, I just stayed at the table and listened to the band, singing along with others who didn't swim. It was a fun night. I and the rest of the family went home first, as we had work tomorrow.
